KZfaq viewers responded with suggestions for solving my netwrap problems on the New Holland RB 450 round baler and one suggestion led me to discover a problem. Now we have to get back in the field to test the baler.

Good to see you found the issue! I know nothing about netwrap, but totally makes sense that it's got to be centered.

We run 3 J D silage special balers.......All 3 use 53in cover edge Tama net wrap..... Their design is so straight forward, and simple, with spare roll storage placed slightly above the flip out feeding tray... that a 100 lb female can , drop the roll into the feeding tray.... unpackage and rethread almost without breaking a sweat............

I wish the NH was that easy. Hoisting that roll onto the tube can be a strain. Plus those overhead doors inevitably drop chaff down your neck🤨

Given how the right clip is bent it looks like it is a victim of operators shoving the net roll on too exuberantly, then the clip gets popped over a groove at a time. Having the roll that far off center will cause problems. One other thing, I can’t tell if that is a 48” or 51” roll. My suggestion would be to run 48” in those machines. NH round balers do a good job of spreading the net, they will pull 48” net over the edge of the bale by a few strands. 48” net will probably be a little more forgiving about being off center.

Great feedback; thanks. It’s 48 inch wrap and I’ve noticed it overlaps slightly now that it’s properly centered.

Thanks. It was hard to see because each time it failed the next was centered. I needed to check it when it wasn’t failing…

Wasn’t our regular dealer because we had trouble finding a baler and had to drive farther to another dealer. Disappointed in this dealership’s service response.
