Hello Dave Thanks for the great video. Just received my MT48 and was trying to figure out how to configure a loopback into my DAW so I will be able to record computer audio (from webbrowser, VLC or other audio apps) right into cubase. I'm on a windows 11 PC. Was reading the manual and watching all their videos but nothing about this routing (had Mbox Studio before and there this was done just with the flip of a switch.) Thanks and keep going Matt

Well i got a demo unit of this couple days back & i was so excited to test out this unit as my AD/DA converters because i was so hyped about Dynamic Range but after tinkering it with 4/5 days i was unable to setup simple gear routing with this ! its software is so much confusing !! would love to see if you can tell us how to use 3/4 line out for send return & 1/2 as return from gear !! thank you

Thanks for the vid. Is your talkback perpetually "on" when routed to the DAW (for take slating, for instance)? When routed to any of the device outputs, it still needs to be triggered by the TB button, but when sent to the DAW it's always on. Is that the same for you? TIA!

Would this be ideal for tracking virtual synths out of daw and back into the units preamps? is the quality of the recording great on its own and should additional preamps be used? Thanks

Not sure why you would want to take a VST synth out of the DAW and through a pre-amp. No, I would not do that

interesting video uncle dave, haha, you sounded better then ever, on youtube. think the rodecaster is going to be sold. I see you like the mastering grade preamps., and headphone amps., cant wait for the video on the other channel when you do a mixdown comparison, thats going to be interesting, and by the way maybe do a preamp comparison of the 4848 and mt48 on the other channel. that will be hugely interesting, i know what the outcome will be anyway. If you decide not to use the mt48,. i am still here waiting to take it off your hands. You are going to have more of a waiting list for these units now. Everyone rushing to get one!!

The rodecaster is perfect for what I do and the MT48 does not have a lot of the rodecaster features so I am not selling the rodecaster. The are completely different products. Not doing a preamp comparsion on the other channel because the 4848 does not have preamps.

That's not going to happen. Sorry. I dont own those headphones. You can purchase them, try them out, decide which yo like and return the others.

Owned headpones from all of those brands and currently use the Neumann MT48 with a ZAHL HM1 external headphone amplifier. What specifics would you like to know?

@@HomeRecordingMadeEasy RME under 1 k is tops has good sound . Best druvers out there. They are rock solid and keep their value better then others. A babyface if you can score one on reverb or ebay etc for about 500 bucks now

A cloud lifter would actually add noise to the signal path in this case.

Remote controller App is broken on Windows 11. It just does not open the window, so I'm only able to control the unit from it's screen and from Web App. Neumann service portal is garbage. They haven't respond my inquire in more than one moth.
