You can use the stock power supply to your mains power. However, if you have noisy power at your house, then I would recommend a power conditioner or using the battery solution from my video. I’m a big fan of portability so I like battery powered supplies.

As long as you have the right power cable coming out of the battery to the qc, then possibly . However, I can’t endorse it for liability reasons.

I used a 2.1mm power cable for pedals to make the connection. I believe mission engineering has them on their website but are also available on amazon.

I played it last night for an hour with no problems. I used the same set up today for another hour. I may try to do a test to see how long it would take to go from a full charge to an empty battery soon.

In theory you can but the usb outputs aren’t isolated but noise could be introduced.

The battery used is no longer for sale. It’s best to get a PD battery that powers 12v 3amp.

It does make a clicking sound when I power it on. I haven’t noticed it (or perhaps paid attention) when switching on the inputs or powering off.

It can, especially with drive or compression pedals. It’s worth experimenting. It might work well. You won’t know until you try.

I haven’t tested the length of time the battery lasts yet. I’ll try to test that soon. I try to do these videos with a full charge.

Hi Steve... I totally get where you are coming from. The 529m might be used by many guitarists with different set ups. The adapter cable (2.1 to 2.5) is relatively expensive and many people might not need it (if they are not powering Line 6 for example). Also, many people already have adapters and others like daisy chain cables etc, so Mission decided to keep the cost lower and not include cables that many or even most would end up paying for and not need. The battery issue might be (most likely) not having full USB C power delivery software in the battery. The 529m and the battery actually talk/negotiate with each other to establish a link and correct requested power. That's why PD is necessary. the upside is that there is no upscaling from 5v to 9v, 12v etc done by the 529m. So very little power is wasted and the battery lasts a lot longer.

Man I have 2 529m units, a power bank, and multiple usb wall chargers and none of them are working. I can’t get the 529m’s to power literally anything. Tried with my quad cortex and shure glxd pedal with no results (tried with a power bank and with multiple wall adapters) I have a ripcord from Myvolts that powers the glxd with no problems. Same cord won’t work on the quad cortex either on a battery or through the wall. Tried looking for your exact battery and The Amazon link no longer works. I’m out of ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I haven’t done a timed test. If I were to guess, probably 2-3 hours.

I haven’t had any problems using my PD wall wart with the 529m. Hopefully, the ripcord works well for you. At the end of the day, it’s able what works well for your workflow.

As opposed to 2.1 mm dc connections? I think there definitely is a market for standard usb c power connections. One concern I have is usb connections can be fragile. If they used a right angle cable and added some sort of locking feature to secure it, I think it would work great.
