I think this might be AI. If not this narrator has done a lot of audiobooks and the narration is sounding the same on all of them which is what made me be suspicious. That being said, it was an excellent story and whoever wrote it actually knew something about panning gold!

Let's think here, Jack London I mean. I suspect he was influenced bye the Russian writers, is there beautiful wonderful descriptions of nature mother nature. He must have read translations perhaps he could actually read in Russian you know which yeah it's a bit of a difference I'll bet you dollars to dimes, John Steinbeck was influenced by this. I speak from being all over the place out in the woods out on the Prairies all that kind of stuff following the Sutter dogs and stuff like that and you know you'll get on an age pushing 70 but I've been out there
