I am trying all exercises after having a full knee replacement 6 weeks ago. Also, a fitness center with a treadmill, stationary bike, whirlpool and swimming pool. Time to enjoy life again and WALK

Wow. i'm retired at age 60. i tried all of these, and i couldn't do all of them, so i have some things to work on. Thank you kindly. Excellent explanations, cautions, and details. This is clearly material that one would need to pay for if given / conveyed at a personal level. Thank you sir!

I have been doing walking backwards for over a year. Best whole body exercise there is. Fixed lower back issues, balance and ability to squat down to pick things up. There are several you tube videos for guidance and benefits of doing this. The movement is now almost as natural as going forward.

I practice walking backwards in the pool. You can’t fall there.😊

What about the elderly who pushes backward or seems to always be onto their heels because their kinesthetic awareness of body position is altered?

The reason I and many old people lean forward is because of numb feet from severe neuropathy, which requires them to watch their FEET at all times. If they do not they tend to trip and fall often. The stick helps with balance, but there is no way I will look up and not at every step I take. I have had some bad falls doing this.

Sad. Get down mirrors on yr specs. Looking down pushes the bum back and throws balance right off at the get go. Rear view cams headsets? (Dance classes should be mandatory. )

Will these exercises help with balance, I have Parkinson’s. I use to play golf to high single digit handicap. I use to play pickleball. I stop paying tennis I was national ranked doubles player; that was 30 to 40 years ago. I played softball in the B’ way show league, when I was going to school I the NYC. I played in the LIC fast pitch league. I want play or compete in just about anything; I live near Stony Brook, NY

What about not havi, inner ear balan"ce. I dont have much Liquid in my ear tubes

Wear no shoes that go up from the toe to the heel. This will make it all worse.
