I was told specifically that I wasn’t allowed to bring anyone else with me to my neurologist appointment to. As I tire easily and get brain fog, it was very frustrating and I didn’t get as much out of the appointment as I would have hoped. I really don’t understand the reasoning behind that (it was well after covid, so it couldn’t have been about that) and honestly, it lowered the trust I had in him.

that's really unusual. even during Covid, you could facetime a family member during the appointment so they could listen and ask questions. I still allow this now. Was it this doctor's specific rule or the practice in general? may be worth asking the scheduler for a reason why (though it doesn't sound like you're going back)

@@DrMarwaKaisey Thank you for your reply (and for the excellent and very helpful video). I have no choice but to go back to him. During that appointment, he confirmed my diagnosis of myasthenia gravis and there are no other neuromuscular specialists near me. He also explained nothing to me about the disease, the knowledge I do have comes from sites like MGFA. Although, during a phone call appointment 6 weeks later, he did answer a few questions that I had. And that’s a very good idea about FaceTime with a family member. I don’t know how he can object to it, I’ll definitely being doing that. Thanks again!

Thank you! I’m in hospital emergency waiting for my mri then to see the neurologist and this helps me feel a lot more prepared for that 😃

I usually send my doctor a list of questions and a few words on how I’m feeling on MHO before the appointment. I’m not sure how much that actually helps them, but I at least haven’t had any complaints about it

can't hurt! would also take that list with you to the appointment just in case; sometimes we don't see the messages from our patients (tech issue, or staff not forwarding in time, or they get lost in a mountain of messages, etc.)

Hello, doctor. My wife is a 35-year-old woman. she was paralyzed a few years ago due to an aneurysm on the left side of her body. she has been suffering for years and has lost hope in life. We live in Iran. Unfortunately, they don't do anything for us here. We have also become poor. Can you treat my wife for free in America? Please guide me. thank you

I have a neurologist that is gaslighting me and ignores my symptoms and only did 2 tests and just said it’s migraines 😢 when I’m supposed to see the Dr even with results, they refuse to see me and just do a very quick visit again just saying it’s migraines 🤬 didn’t have MRI images and didn’t know I have WMH T2 once again when I got the results she again suck with migraines…this is very upsetting and I’ve looked up so many things with my own research and She refuses to do further tests 🤬

yesss i have a smart assistant who knows how to work the one in my office. I've lost my touch with 2004 technology!

That is great. I took some scans to a private appointment and the Doc in question was not IT-savvy to say the least. For £300.00 I had expected them to be able to cope with CD's from another hospital.

My legs have been going numb daily b4 sleep since last month or so and since 14-18 August I'd numbness in my whole body literally whole body 24*7,now since then it's almost negligible,My B12 vitamin D and calcium levels are normal, I'm not diabetic n my sugar level is normal,I'd 9 tablets of vitneurin czn as suppliments these days.Though I've gotten so worried and was coming to see u in the Nayar hospital,I've just read that these numbness/tingling sensation are just the part of never healing process, does it mean I shouldn't see a neurologist? Even my head goes numb, Was getting the itchy feeling underneath my skin like some six months b4, In 2020 was getting so much pins n needles kinda feeling. Had this numbness in 2016 as well and grip on things was failing. M a 28 yr unmarried female. Just wanna know could these signs deteriorate?Like ending up in a stroke or paralysis.

Thanks Dr, I send questions and link for cloud to download Scan & Reports to office before appointment. Due to language/accent problems, European Drs record the conversation too

love that you have the chance to send questions in beforehand too! we have a chance for people to edit their medications and basic info but not much else. they can upload their scans but it doesn't always seem to work well

I have what my primary is calling hypersomnia and I’m recently retired and can’t live like this. Had sleep study, blood panel and in 5 months😮 get to see neurologist. I’ve seen there are meds to help but are classified stimulants. So, I don’t what to come off as one seeking pills. I need something to help.
