you are right - in the absence of truth was an excellent record, I know everyone goes on and on about panopticon but that was the one for me. I love the attention to detail right down to the level of production, the way the drums are tuned etc

Its our language that enables us to _question_ our reality and actions. The mystery you are talking about don't disappear just because you learn to understand the reality behind it. It lives on through in our emotional attachment to nature and the human spirit. We are able to have both if we are beeing honest about what a mystery really is. The point is not to keep a mystery a mystery, but to figure it out. That why we are drawn to mysteries. Art can embody this feeling of mystery. This feeling is important to us and that matters a great deal, but it should not prevent us from figuring out mysteries in the physical world. Rather we should leave the exploration of the _feeling_ of mystery to Art. This way we can have both.

@@robertdemeter5793 Language is a tool for thinking and communication. Of course it can be used to manipulate, but that does not mean that language itself is the problem. At least i don't find that to be true for myself. It could be that language is a barrier sometimes if we limit our thinking ONLY through language. The uncounscious mind is the real backbone of our intelligence, but our conscious mind navigates itself best through language. Consiousness is in the brain. You won't find any credible neuroscientist who thinks otherwise. I'm not interested in you spamming youtube videos at me. KZfaq is not a good source for knowledge and people are mislead by amateurs all the time on here. If anyone wants to measure and verify their ideas, they go to the universities. Don't believe me? Well take a good look around you and you will find that the society you live in and the technology you depend on it all was made possible because of science.
