My country was colonized by a European country, but I believe that we could not have become independent without the arrival of the Japanese army. Asian countries were colonies of the West, but the Japanese military succeeded in liberating the colonies from the West by expelling Westerners and educating several Asian countries in academics and military affairs. After the war, presidents of some countries built memorials and memorial halls for Kamikaze Kamikaze pilots, some Asian countries have national funerals for Japanese soldiers, and some countries have created national flags in the shape of the Japanese flag.

I'm a Korean. I have no ill feelings towards Japan, which ruled Asia. I was very shocked when I saw the video about kamikaze. It was not a death due to coercion by a high-ranking military force, but a sacrifice made by individuals to protect their beloved country, beautiful Japan, and precious family. It is very tragic and regrettable that young people have reached a point where they have to carry out an extreme military operation that goes beyond human limits. In the wills of the Kamikaze members, there was no hatred towards the enemy. It was a heart-warming sacrifice to protect the country and family. No one can imitate it, and they gave their lives just to protect their country. Oh, kamikaze commandos who died beautifully...! Rest in peace at Yasukuni Shrine...⛩🇯🇵

There are many comments saying "respect from ~", and I am very grateful as a Japanese person. According to the cummunication slodier, who makes the final communication with the kamikaze members, many of them will die at the end, shouting "Mom! Dadd!". It's very painful to think of them who died at a young age. But today, I am very grateful that Japan has made friends with many countries and built peaceful relationships.Thank you so much for trying to get to know Japan. 🤝 I'm sorry I can't speak English well.

@RogerwilcoFoxtrot they were liberating asian nations from the occupation of western powers. We dropped an atomic bomb on top of a cathedral at 11am on a Sunday as people were gathering for mass. We were not the good guys. All they wanted in the peace terms was to be able to keep the emperor which had existed for thousands of years, we demanded unconditional surrender. They were fighting to preserve their culture and nations identity which had existed for thousands of years. It was America that waged a war of extermination against their people and culture. Wonder how much the nation was protected when Japanese soldiers were raping Nanking or playing fun and games with terrible medical experiments at Unit 731. Maybe ask the citizens of the Philippines how the Japanese occupation of their homeland worked out for them? I wouldn't mind if you knew a thing or two about how the soldiers you seem to idolize were responsible for the torture and murder of US, British, New Zealand, French, Dutch, Indian military personnel in the tens of thousands. Hope I rained on your prom dress.

@@razercortex9292 In ww2 Japan wrongly attacked many countries bombing civilians and civilian targets. I'm Australian, with many Japanese friends. I worked for Hitachi for many years and am now retired. During WW2, many of my family relatives and friends (my parents generation) suffered under Japanese attack. Several were imprisoned. These Japanese were not protecting their country when they attacked other countries, they were out to conquer them and take resources. The young Japanese fighters who bombed our cities (Darwin took more Japanese bombs than Pearl Harbor) and committed atrocities against civilians in Asia and the South Pacific were very much forced to do what they did. They followed others wills, not their own, and had to complete orders. People in Japan and Australia have reconciled after ww2 and now enjoy peaceful relations. In general we respect each others culture. When we talk about the war, it is with regret for the lives lost for no good reason. We compare this to the good that comes from co-operation. I would say that we have learned to respect the differences in culture and even enjoy learning about/valuing the differences, holidaying in each others countries, having exchange students, and trade to the benefit of both countries. Most Australians and Japanese have learned to co-operate peacefully and this has greater honour than any fighting.

As a Vietnam War US Sailor, student of WW2, I admire these TokkoTai warriors and my Father’s WW2 sailors that withstood them. Fighting for your family and country is not terrorism. They were all heroes. I do postulate that the sacrifices of the TokkoTai did strengthen resolve to use atomic weapons as our leaders understood the unwillingness to surrender of the Bushido spirit.

Lucas Tao I salute you and the noble blood from which you came. And I'm not just some kid talking out his ass. I'm a 50-year-old American who's served in the Army during both war and peace. It's that old soldier speaking now when I say that I am honored and humbled to greet a direct descendent of the last true Samurai.

Neoimperialist1 agreed but only in the sense that war itself is stupid and thus, by extension, so to is every needless death lost in it's pursuit. No one, citizen or soldier, should ever feel obligated to blindly follow their leaders. Quoting Frederick the Great: "If my soldiers were to begin to think, not one of them would remain in the army." That's pretty much why I didn't make a career of the Army - I started thinking.

Neoimperialist1 do I understand correctly that you've seen this movie? If so, what's your honest opinion as far as, well... everything? Visual FX, acting, cinematography, soundtrack, etc.... I grew up immersed in stories of WWII due to spending summers with my grandpa who served with the 101st Airborne. From this experience I developed a genuine love of EVERYTHING about that war - aircraft, vehicles, weapons, strategy and tactics and above all, the soldiers, sailors and airmen who served regardless of nationality. I happened upon this video while searching music. The instant that A6M banked on screen I forgot all else. I'm rambling... is the movie as good as the trailer? Does it do the aircraft and (more importantly) pilots justice?
