That was absolutly amazing! You are so lucky you took this chance long ago, its so beautiful. You may not have been a carpender back then, but you sure are one now, magic man does it all👍🏻. You can both be so proud of yourselves all that you have achieved! Fantastic what you can learn and do if you set your mind on it. Now I have to find about Stacy's garden, because, that looks absolutly increadable! You are both amazing making this dream come through - everything off grid, no chemicals what so ever - a beautiful way to spend a meaningful life, producing almost all of your own food, in charge of your own lives, away from the rat race - being in nature all the time. Even showing and helping others along how well you have masterd everything so far! That it is also for others reachable👍🏻. A huge amount of tips and info you gave there, everything is so interesting. I wish I wasn't so old, I would have loved such a life - next time perhaps👍🏻. What I think I love mostley about you both, is your fantastic outlook on life and your happiness living it. Sheer gratefulness and appreciation for everything and everyone - The rest of the World atm because of these things going on, is not a very nice place. People have forgotten to be themselves, to stick together and say no to a lot of rubbish what is going on! I l9ve it, not even having a letterbox, that really got me 😂😂👍🏻🙏💕 You have a new sub now !

Enjoying your homestead tour. Idea 💡: After you build your cellar stairwell wall, what if you hang a heavy clear vinyl walk-through curtain with vertical slats, (like they do in the grocery store refrigerated back rooms), over the entrance at the bottom of the stairs to help temperature control. My favorite features so far: the outdoor shower 🚿 and outdoor kitchen.

Hi to anyone reading this. Just wanted to share some very very good news during difficult times. Jesus loves you so so much! He died for your sins. We are all sinners who fall short of the glory of God. He is a perfect and holy God and we can’t do anything that can make us earn or deserve heaven. Good works can’t get you to Heaven because we still fall short and have sinned. Even a single lie stops you from going. The good news is that God loves us so much that He sent Jesus His only begotten son to die for us on the cross. He suffered and died, taking YOUR punishment If you put your trust and faith in Jesus alone. He loves you so much, just tell Him you know how much you messed up and how you have sinned and how you deserved to be punished (don’t worry we all do) Tell Him how you believe He is the Lord, died for your sins, was buried and rose again on the third day. Just ask Him to come into your life as your personal savior and get to know Him personally. By the blood of Christ alone you can be righteous in God’s eyes. God bless you! I hope you will accept Jesus and that I will see you there in heaven! I may not know you but I love you and I want you to be there. 😊❤️ “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:9-10‬ ‭ “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:8-9‬ ‭ “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:8‬ ‭

@Red Cedar Homestead yes these are things we do after we are saved but I’m just talking about how to get saved and be saved and sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. I’m more of talking about the how to get saved and how’s it’s all and only by believing on Jesus (the gospel/good news) but I wasn’t talking about things to do once you are already saved by the grace of God through your faith. Repentance means metanoia. To change your mind. in terms of salvation It’s kind of like changing your mind and regretting your unbelief/whatever you were believing in before/Or for Jews it could be stop following the law and looking to their own self righteousness. It’s so important to be able to rightly divide the word and read everything in complete context since so many things get taken out of context. But yes these are things we do after we are saved not in order to be saved. Since being saved is only by our faith in Jesus and believing the gospel. I pray you will take all this to the Lord and ask Him. :) 💗

My inlaws are Old Order Amish, so I tend to get some fun handmade goodies. I have a blue jean rag rug that has been ABUSED, over washed, left outside, etc., and it's 30 yrs old and still perfectly held together. Imagine if I would have babied it. :DDD Propane fridge? On my grandmother’s farm we used chicken poop to feterlize her gardens. She had two, one for potatoes only and then another huge one for vegetables. She planted marigolds all around the vegetable garden to hold down the bugs. My job when I visited was to clean out the hen house and dump it on a big pile and then spread hay or straw over the mound. It would be perfect to use by the next planting season. My vacations at her farm were never vacations, but a lesson in responsibilities I helped harvest the gardens but was too young to be in the kitchen with her, my mom and about four of my aunties. We kids would be sent to the pond to fish. I love seeing how you’re thriving in this life choice

Wow, what a nice video. I subscribe to Doug and Stacy also, but he hasn't taken us around the whole homestead. First time seeing the bedroom, and the cold cellar! Looks great. Aren't they great people. I have never met them in person, but feel like I live right next door to them. The same goes for you all, I feel like you all are my neighbor also. Both families make such great video's. Keep up the good work. Stay safe, stay well.

I love the set up of everything, but I would also invest in solar panels and batteries because there are some things I wouldn't give on...small air conditioner, fridge, and one or two reading lights. I have a question though, the rain water they store, can it be dangerous being stagnant?

What a great couple! You know, they drop hints but they don’t really burden you as to how they stay healthy and strong. I love that they don’t proselytize.. They don’t exaggerate. For a start, they certainly don’t need an expensive home gym or membership. They work extremely hard. It’s easy to how committed they are to keeping themselves and their belongings clean. A lot of that video was devoted to their use of water and how they filter it to the degree needed . They know where their food comes from mostly; from which animal and what it was fed. They certainly don’t have a lot number on their eggs! At the same time they are so practical. They get around on horseback or buggy but they also keep a motorized vehicle. What if one of them needs medical help in a hurry? They know their way to the nearest hospital but even with GPS, I’m not convinced an ambulance would get to them easily. In closing, they have such great values. They deserve a LOT of respect.
