The title is somewhat misleading. It's perfectly fine to charge it all the way up past 80%, but you should aim to do this as little as possible. It's important to note that most new phones nowadays have some form of optimised charging option, which will learn your charging habits. This way, your phone will charge up to 80%, but only reach 100% right when it thinks you are about to use it.

I agree with you on everything except on closing applications. I always use Dark Mode and a Dark Wallpaper. I always disable background app refresh. I only charge my phone up to 85% and not 100%. I never drain the battery to 0%. I always keep brightness low. I always keep the Reduce Motion setting on and the Prefer Cross-Fade Transitions setting on. Instead of powering off my phone, I always turn on Airplane Mode whenever I'm not using my phone. I also always disable Push Notifications for non-important apps.

6:50 software updates are a marketing plot, they are designed to program your mind that you always need the latest even if you do not need to. They also place a ton of bugs and issues with every new update that could've been resolved ages ago. This is a smartphones business model whichever brand you're buying from

Well if u charge only 80% u will end up charging ur phone twice a day and the more u charge ur battery the more it wears out... that's why i follow this routine:- Everyday i get up my phone is arnd 30-40% i put it in charge and take it out when it's 95-97% and then use it throughout the day without charging it one more time.Sometimes by the end of they day my phone is at 20% or 30%.The next day i repeat this...i have found this method to be most usefull because by this way ur battery wears out slowly

If you’re an iPhone user like me then don’t follow the part of the video that suggests turning off auto brightness, Apple themselves say the opposite, it actually saves the battery life.
@ghostdragon2593
@ghostdragon2593 Жыл бұрын
Just because Apple says something doesn't make it always true. I've been in situations where auto brightness cranked the brightness up much more than it needed like sitting near a lamp and the phone thinks im in a bright environment and need max brightness, sure you can manually lower it but how many people would actually think to do that.
@unaffected2
@unaffected2 Жыл бұрын
@@ghostdragon2593 you can still adjust it manually in that situation and forget about other scenarios, turning off the auto brightness forces you to adjust it continuously which can be annoying imo

All these things y'all claim the app is doing for our phones is a lie, someone somewhere in some room there are computers running our phones, Everytime you look up something like, let's say you want some info about your pet, and you ask Google about it, then Everytime you turn on your phone all these apps about your pet come out of nowhere, giving you info you didn't even ask for all these apps start popping up Everytime you use your phone! Y'all know what Im talking about cause you use your phone Everytime you put a subject in for info you get all these apps popping up that you didn't even request. So tell the people the truth, our phones are always being watched by the watchers we can't see!🤨🤔

How about the BMS for the batteries. Do they manage to send only the necessary current past 80%
@tomcapehart1878
@tomcapehart1878 Жыл бұрын
A bms is normally used when you have multiple cells and you need to balance the charge between groups of cells. The batteries in phones consist of a single cell so there is no balancing involved
@Habibulla.M
@Habibulla.M Жыл бұрын
@@tomcapehart1878 BMS is to limit the current flow to cells while charging and cutoff the current after the desired voltage is reached. purpose of 1S BMS is this only. Even if you take a small pouch cell inside your Bluetooth headphone/ speaker you can see the cell attached with the small 1S BMS circuit. So BMS is mandatory for any single cell or group of cells made as a battery.

I have seen so many videos like this one. My personal conclusion is that it really doesn't matter. I have a 5 year old phone that still works fine. I try not to charge it over night but I'm only human and sometimes I forget to take it off the charger. My wife does similarly the same thing. We haven't had any problems. While what this video shows may be accurate, the reality is that in the scheme of things it doesn't matter.
