So, I've read both "Darkest Minds" and "Never Fade", and, obviously, I loved them both. However, on each one, it took maybe a chapter or two of confusion, before I understood exactly what was going on. Did this happen to anybody else?

i actually really like Clancy as a character. NOT in the Ruby and Clancy should hook up kind of way, but in the he adds the excitement and plot twists kind of way. Also i really am a sucker for a good eeeevil villain.

i saw someone on tumblr ask alexandra bracken if the last book would have a happy ending and she replied with a gif that said "lower your expectations!" Vida's sass had me cracking up most of the time, learnt to really love her! I am with you when you hope that Ruby and Liam are on the same page in the next book. I don't know if authors have noticed this yet but readers don't concentrate or pick up as much information when the our male lead is gone... Loved you book talk! :D

I just finished never fade OMG I was bawling Jude.......why

I knew someone had to die at the end because it just seemed too good for everyone to come out alive after the whole bombing and every thing and I had a feeling it was Jude, but I was not ready when he died. My tears were everywhere! I literally just finished reading the book and had to see this book talk to release all my feelings onto. And gosh I hated Knox with such a burning passion. He pissed me off so much and it was so sad when mason died because ruby was about to take away his bad memories and then he gets shot in the throat. LIKE WHAT!? And then when ruby got stabbed in the lower back, my lower back started to ache just thinking about it! And I absolutely DIEDDDDD when Liam told Ruby he loved her like KEJDKKSJCKSJJDJS! But ur right I want Clancy to die a slow and painful death and reading the first book I always thought back to the shatter me series and I was scared Clancy would be like a new Warner and Liam would be a new Adam bc they just linked closely in my opinion but thank God there is no love triangle in this book. It's Liam, it'll forever and always be Liam

When sh*t was going down in the LA, everything i could think of was Zu. I just missed her so much, and i hate how Chubs, Liam and Ruby say that they're together now. But when Zu is not around they're not together. I just hope she's fine :DD

Am I the only one who liked Vida since the beginning? I always had seen her as a sassy character. Vida's sass is life. Btw. Vida means Life in portuguese. #funny

I knew when I started Never Fade there was gonna be that one giant heart breaker at the end just like in Darkest Minds so I had every defense up I could. Then the second we met Jude I was like,there it is. He was too caring, he was too accepting to make EVERYONE have at least a little sympathy for him. I knew right there, he was going to be the last bomb on my feels. I don't know if I was the only one but I specifically forced myself not to connect to his charactor and had to stop myself when he made the best and cutest lines. Vida, was amazing and I totally loved her role in the story. She is my spirit charactor! I totally ship her and chubs XD. Loved this video and can't wait to get the next book!

I just finished this book. Fell in love with Judith. Cried for like 30 minutes after closing the book.

Watching this on 2019 cause I'm finally reading In The Afterlight!

I'd seen this series so many times and it never occurred to me to read it until a few days ago. I've never met more real, well-written characters. Vida and Jude, and Chubs and Liam. And Cole and Cate. Just wow wow, such an amazing solid hold on the characters. So happy for Ruby's character development and the plot and the sadness and just everything in this book is so great.

Was I the only one that laughed when she said "the Cole and Ruby shower scene"?

Honestly I can relate about not liking Vida in the beginning but sometime towards the end I realized how fully I appreciated her. SHE IS THE LITERAL DEFINITION OF SASS. And I love that one quiet scene while they are camped out and she’s ripping up chubs book and throwing the balled up pages into his sleeping unconscious mouth while humming. It was soo funny.

Cole isn't and adult psi but he was a "late bloomer" thats why he was overlooked by the PSF's it wasn't until he was 12 that he got his abilities.

JUST finished this and omg I loved it even more than the first. I agreed with everything you said. I feel like EVERY page was just so action packed. I cried, and laughed and just loved it. I'm starting the novella Sparks Rise tonight and I'm going to start In the Afterlight tomorrow!

I think the reason why I fell in love with Vida was because I was a huge fan of Johanna n in the hunger games trilogy. They’d define you be pretty good friends if they were in the same universe.

Didn't Andy say his son/grandson's name was Michael? As in Knox's second-in-command? Is that even possible since he said he went to the camp in Wyoming?

I loved this book but it def took me a little to see what was going on and get passed the confusion. Although it was an awesome book, i just felt there were too many things going on at once to much action and plot lines. But the last chapter cleared it up a lot Cant wait for the third book!

I don't hate Clancy. I mean, I don't like him, but I don't hate him. I don't know why, I want to, he deserves it, but for some reason I just want to give him a chance. I LOVED Vida's character, mostly because in my class there is a girl named Vida, and she is the opposite of the book character. She has blonde hair, brown eyes, tan skin, seriously the sweetest thing you will ever meet. And the book character Vida... Well

Oh, I loved it. I don´t why but I really like Clancy´s character. I know he´s evil and crazy and all that, but I really think he likes Ruby, like, he really wants to be with her. Besides, I always like in books when the villain is so powerful. Probably the reason why I like Sebastian in TMI. It´s like he´s the only one who can truly understand Ruby. Also loved Cole and definitely think there´s sth going on between vida and Chubs and I totally ship it.

So much crying and anger about stuff in this book! I absolutely loved it. I was crying at Jude's death. The moment they went to look for him I was like, "Not Jude, not Jude!" Clancy pisses me off. That scene with the red in fake East River I thought was really powerful. At first, you're just like, oh he seems really scary. I hope that they can beat him. Then she slips in his head and you see that despite the animal they turned him into, he was just a kid who longed to go home and be with his mom. It made me so angry at everything that was happening to these kids I was literally shaking. These books are just so good and I really really hope that the final book addresses everything it needs to and that Liam, Ruby, and Chubs, stay together.

I really want Clancy to die in the 3rd book and i hope Ruby can fix her parents and Liam so they are back together again.I also hope that the book will end on a good note like Ruby meeting her Gran at Virginia Beach.Look forward to the 3rd book and i'm wondering what it will be called...Loved the book :)

When he shouted "Damnit- I wanted you!" you knew he was going to be ok in the League if he was with Ruby and yes I just need them back on the same page in the third book.

The is the most perfect book talk ever!!!! Love it. Everything you said, I felt the same way!! Another heart-wrenching aspect was when Ruby and Liam would think about meeting each other on the beach and what their lives would be like if they were normal.. so sad, so many tears. This series is so emotionally damaging, I cannot imagine what's going to happen in the next book!! One of the best series ever!

After reading the first book, I literally ran to the computer and ordered the second one. When it came I finished it in two days from excitement! Just finished it today, just ran and ordered the third one lol 😂 Omg I’m so excited!! My heart MELTED during that gas station scene! How he was so confused and so frustrated how he loved her so much but didn’t even know her! It was the perfect scene, and my heart was melting

OMG! The feels of this book! Your book talk is so accurate and I can relate to them so much! I just love watching your book talks after reading a book to get my thoughts straight. I just really hope in the next book they have the beach scene at the end or something because I would love to see the together with that scene and finally saying that all the battles and pain is over.

I literally didn't like the book until Liam came back into it. Cole made the beginning interesting but it just wasn't the same without Liam! I felt the exact same way when Chubs came back, at first thinking it was Liam but it wasn't, I was like, 5% disappointed it wasn't Liam but that reunited moment was absolutely touching!!!! And yeah I'm mad at Ruby so much for wiping Liam's memory of her...I see where she was coming from but oh man...being together is the solution for them and NOTHING ELSE!!! New character Vida, LOVE HER SASS, and who else thinks she's going to get with Chubs? Their constant bickering made me laugh, "people like you are the reason for the middle finger." (something like that) SO FUNNY! Jude..... :'( I'm not even going to resurface that sadness. Beautiful series!! December please come faster. I can't wait that long.

I actually liked Clancy a lot. I thought his character was so intriguing and charismatic. Even though he has some pretty bad moments, I felt like he's the way he is because of the things that have happened to him and I'm like praying that he can change and reflect on himself.

I love how Cole calls Ruby "Gem". I feel like there's going to be something right there...

I was spoiled for Jude's death. I was scrolling the reviews before I picked up the book and it said, "the sweetest character died" They really should have hidden that for spoilers. I think I was just spoiled for In the Afterllight, too. But I can't get that until Monday.

Is no one gonna talk about the fact that Chubs went from not being able to see five feet in front of him in the first book to driving for most of the second book?

Man, this book was so...ABSOLUTELYFREAKINMAZING! I am just sitting here in awe at how complex this plot and characters are and the darkness that just embodied the story. I seriously had like anxiety reading this, because the situations Ruby and everyone was put through were just terrifying! Like when we found out about Rob and his real intentions and how the government and almost everyone was out to get them? Scary as hell! This book was just an emotional roller coaster I won't get over with soon until book three, and probably not even then, looking at these last books. Definitely, this book/series is one of my favorites of all-time!

the flap on the hardcover book says the 3rd book will be "In Time" GAHHH I just finished Never Fade and GAHHHHH i need it, I need it now. Which is kind of ironic, because it's called "In Time" and I want it now.... no? okay...
