I remember seeing Shox and Scream looking like gods against LG in 2016. It's a shame that the 2017 G2 lineup with Shox, Kennys, NBK, Apex, and Body didn't have more success than they did.

At one point he was a genuine GOAT contender. It's a shame that his attitude and work ethic held him back. Even with that said, his natural talent gave him a fantastic skill ceiling.

I don't think his attitude or work ethic held him back. He simply wasn't good enough to act as an IGL + be a top 5 player year in and year out

@@aaronshaw22 That 2016 G2 lineup? No, the expectations weren't for them to do anything since people assumed Shox fell off and Smithz/RPK were seen as the "rejects" of the Envyus shuffle. The team that should've gotten more done was the G2 lineup the following year with Shox/NBK/Kennys/Apex/Body. They only won two tier 1 events that year I believe

Well the mentality of French players especially in the early days of CSGO held them back so much, if they were more humble and patient trying to improve they would've created an era of theirs but they just shuffle and shuffle after a couple of setbacks every fucking time and when they thought it through they were already not young anymore. And shox, so much raw skill overall but he just held onto this smithz buddy of his so tight lol, basically wasted his youth. But we're people after all so its okay.

Notice how his highlights were mostly his clutches. Xypnx got more highlight as he played in probably the best team ever who was in super form for so many events. And had a core team no shuffle won more and clutched more. But his clutches I feel were better. Maybe the numbers dropped after Vitality but he was better in numbers than Xyp till then.

I think its because he was focused on real life. Its a trait of intelligence, he loved this game but loved real life more and committed to the things that really matter. Now he has a wife and a kid. For this i think he is the best player ever, the one that despite his potential sacrificed fame, glory and money for the traditional values.

Same here, i watched so many of his POVs and downloaded so many of his faceit games to soak in how he is playing. He is one of the best player to play the game and certainly one of the best human beings. He turned to prefer the family values over fame and fortune and thats what ultimately makes him my favourite player.
