Same here my friend, I was using and homeless, now I’m clean, have an apartment and a car and two beautiful cats. It gets better, you just have to try every day.

Yeah. I'm adopted. I was adopted at the age of 12. I was taken from a dark and disgusting place and given a room and a bed to sleep on. Food to eat and water to drink. I spend every. Single. Day. Working to repay my family. For giving me a bed and loving me. This movie is beautiful.

Lucky man. Some people grow up in foster care. We aren’t adoptable. So we just get the worst the group homes and agencies can acquire for us. They think finding a location is the same as salvation. They never incorporated whether or not that place was beneficial to us or not. Kids are a resource. Until they develop their brains. Then they become a threat. Exactly why we see so many homeless that seem to get perpetually frowned upon by the so called “higher class” which in reality is just poor people trying to get rich off the backs of the ignorant.

I fucking love this movie so much, I take great care to not damage the dvd 📀 n even downloaded that heartfelt tune at the end in the credits too😭😭😭 n massive fan of Sandra Bullock, n after I heard her read that Ferdinand the bull book 📕 I went straight out n bought my own copy of the book n actually cried when they made a film bout Ferdinand 😭🤩🥳😭😍😍😍!!

you are so good with that boy you're an amazing actress I love to watch your show I love to watch him he's good as a football player and he's good remembering what you tell him even if he's a little slow but he's never had a family and you're giving him that family and that trust your daughter and your son I watch everything your husband I mean and you you tell him on the football field I mean you show him that these guys are his his team and he works for his team I love it it makes me laugh and enjoy not laughing pain of pity it's just you do a fantastic job I just wanted to tell you that and the writer and the director is great but you also add live and stuff yourself and that's what makes it good and your husband's funny and your little daughter and your son they really get excited and that's what a family means was your black yellow purple Chinese Jewish I mean it's we're all brothers and sisters we all come from the same seed I mean it's fantastic thank you you've made a 78 year old guy happy

My mom started to do drugs when i was 4, went to live with my aunt and uncle they took the best care of me then i went back to live with my mom my real dad died when i was 4 moths old then my step dad died when i was 4, my mom and step step dad got into a figth then my mom left whit the baby and was with a another man and then died form drugs the baby is ok. I live with my aunt and uncle they take the best care of me and would do anthing for me.

Every time I hear him say "A bed" in response to her question of "A Room to Yourself" it makes me check myself. While I know it's a movie, (yes, based on true events) it makes me so thankful for all the tiny blessings I have. The main three being a bed to sleep in, food in my belly and a roof over my head.

I can see this movie over and over again without getting bored. It's so emotional and gives hope that there are still angels out there. The relationship between Sandra and Mike became so strong. YEP he found a real mom. Sometimes strangers become closer than your own blood. God bless these angels🙏🏻❤️

They never made him think he was getting adopted. Why would they adopt him? He wasn't some orphan child. He was an full-grown 18 year-old man with birth mother and siblings (who he loved) living 8 miles away.

@@user-ri5yr8tz2q No, I've read the Blind Side book and Michael Oher's 2011 autobiography "I Beat the Odds". He knew perfectly well that they would never adopt him away from his birth mother. Besides, there was no reason for it.

Back in November the Tuohys provided a whole paper trail of evidence showing that that Michael Oher was paid an equal share of the movie money. He *LIED* about making nothing from the film.
