Was always taught it takes a real man to admit when they're wrong and apologize...it doesn't make you weak, saying sorry is just acknowledging your mistake.

Apologising is if you care whether you hurt or offended someone, regardless of how you feel about your error/ action. When I was younger I'd always make it 'it's a YOU problem that you're hurt, i didn't do anything wrong I disagree'. It's about that true empathy and regard for others' feelings and trying to improve.

I don't know if I agree with this, I think it takes courage to say that you're sorry if you know that you are wrong. I don't agree that it diminishes you when it's justified. But agree that saying sorry when it's not your fault is weak

Hmmm, apparently it's hard to grasp the concept of "actually changing your behavior as your apology" Rather than outright saying that you're sorry because guess what.. "everyone is always sorry about something" And "everyone" likely fucks up again because they're more bent on saying their apologies rather than actually seeing their behavior and actually doing something about it to change it. Basically, all your sorries don't mean shit if you don't actually recognize your mishaps, shortcomings, etc. and do the real work of actually correcting yourself and being on point like the man you're supposed to be. I recently made my girlfriend upset, and I didn't actually say sorry, my exact words were "I apologize if I upset you, I was only trying to look out for your best interest, and now I realize it wasn't my place to overstep that boundary". You can still apologize and admit your wrong without actually saying sorry.

Yep I can confirm that this works. I have been doing this for years and just now seeing this video. But I came to this conclusion differently. I got tired of people telling me sorry, I made a mistake. As I got older I realized that people do have more control over what they say and do. Sorry was an escape of responsibility and a band aid to maintain a relationship that was sub par. So I started sticking to my principles and if someone got mad at me for my values and beliefs I was never going to apologize. I had people chasing for my apology and I wouldn’t give it. When I flipped the script I was the bad guy and the unreasonable one. The most powerful thing that was stated here is that instead of apologizing, make the change that is needed. Saying sorry never gets you anywhere only change does. So yea……………don’t apologize but be sure that you have the power of true self reflection to admit when you are wrong.

This is just game playing. Therefore every idea and action in this video is disrespectful. There is an undercurrent that your relationship is bad in the first place.
