So the term "nutmegged" comes from the practice of nutmeg trade, some exporters would mix up lumps in the wood with the cargo to trick the buyers into thinking they bought the full weight , becoming a term for trickery. So "nutmegged" on sports comes from tricking the opponent(s) by passing the ball through their legs.

I see a lot of people criticizing the overbearing editing, but not many people are actually giving any advice. (Edit: there are now a lot of people giving advice lol) For me, personally, I think it would really help keep things less overwhelming if you just removed the constant background music. It's difficult to focus on what he is saying and doing with it playing. It might also help to reduce sound effects, instead of putting some in every time an action is made. That being said however, as someone who has short attention span, this really kept my attention, usually I just listen to his videos in the background. So overall, the editing is very active, which can be good, but sometimes it can get overwhelming too.

@ggundercover36812 жыл бұрын
yes, for example at 3:37, the background music was a bit much but I wouldn't initially mind since it was to hype up the clip. I absolutely loved the Mickey Mouse edit. but then there was a lot of music change and the guns afterwards. I don't think you need all that going on, but spacing them out is fine because like you, the comedic zooms, maybe messing with the voice somethings or like the mickey edit isn't so disrupting but definitely funny and eye catching

The origins of the term "nutmeg" is very interesting. Basically, back in the good ol' days, nutmegs were a valuable commodity, and so exporters would do a bunch of dodgy stuff to scam the buyers, like mixing wooden lumps with the nutmegs to lie about the weight, so the term explains that the person being nutmegged is tricked and bamboozled

I’m very happy the editor is having such a fun time editing these videos, but I agree with many others in the comments it’s a little much. I actually like the editing, and the small bits added in, I just wish you saw more Jack than edits. I come to see his content, not just the edits. Either way, good work Mr. Editor, you’re doing great :)

It used to be just cuts every now and then, if I wanted a heavily edited but good video I'd go to other channels. This is heavily edited but bad, because Jack's channel has never been centered around its editing but the person. But now they cut out the person to add their stupid edits...

Dear lovely new editor, Hi! You’re doing a fantastic job and your comedic timing is great. You’re really talented and we can see you put a LOT of effort into your work. I do think at times there was a little bit too much edited into the video that didn’t really allow for the content to breathe and work for itself, and I am a little worried that keeping up that amount of effort in every video would be exhausting and overwhelming. You are doing an amazing job friend and we all welcome you and your kickass talent with open arms to the community. Much love!

Alright. I have ADHD, and I have to be honest here: the over-editing is extremely distracting and makes following the content of the video difficult. I don't mind a good edit every once in a while, but it feels like there's one every single time Jack speaks. Like, there's at least one per sentence and it's almost always only tangentially related to a specific word or phrase Jack says but doesn't have anything to do with what Jack's actually saying. It's overwhelming. It's high effort for sure, and I respect the amount of work the new editor is putting in, but it's just far too much for me. It's okay to ease up on the editing to allow for some type of calm or focus. We're all here for Jack, but this feels like a totally different channel lately.
