Congrats! I went through a lengthy and painful process to decide what snowblower to buy, purchased and returned/sold 3 new snowblowers, one of which was hydrostatic (not Honda) and decided that if you want Hydrostatic and quality, Honda is the way to go. I already own a Honda car and generator, so this is a nice addition.

I just retired a 31 year old Honda HS80 track drive and replaced it with a HS724 track drive...my neighbour will likely get another 10+ years out of the old girl. I chose the 24" to get through gates and around corners in my yard...first snow last week (north Ontario) and it walked through 12" drifts like they didn't exist.

This is one of the best videos on a Honda snowblower out there. love the delivery and down to earth commentary. so much so I ordered mine today and the dealer tells me two to three weeks and we will have our 2022 HSS928CDT. this video won me over.

I have one of these machines. This is my 3rd Winter using it. IT IS AWESOME !!! And, It is a REAL SnowBeast. I get the Lake Effect Snow in WNY from Lake Erie. This machine handles it with ease. 5-6 feet of snow fell in November '22. Real Honda Quality. The Track is great for concrete driveways, stone driveways and on Grass Walkways. The machine not cheap., however, it is well worth the money. You will not be disappointed. Very good video.

I bought this model 3 years ago without any hesitation! I live in the lake superior snow belt where 200 to 300+ inch winters are not uncommon! This machine has had no problem in 3 feet of snow i had to add drift cutters to handle that. I own honda 4 wheelers so I already new I bought a quality machine ! 3 years in and its been flawless as expected ! This machine throws the snow 60 ft and that another plus !

Bought one ten years ago and never looked back. This machine is the best one that I have seen so far. When I blow snow next to other snowblowers mine just blows them away sorry about the pun. Still starts with 3 or 4 pulls even at -40 that we get up here in the north.

We bought the same model you did in 2020. Believe me it was the best investment we ever made. I've had other snowblowers over the years, and nothing held up. Always broke in the first year. The Honda though starts right up every year just fine. My dad was right. If you want things that will last you have to be willing to spend the money.

I have an HS 928 that I've had for about 10 years. It does very nice even throwing slush. I have tires but may update to get tracks as I have a very very steep and long driveway now. Always starts easy. I did replace all the various auger bearings once, replaced the scaper blade too, and recently put in new drive belts and changed the light to an LED. I used it for multiple neighbors and mowed down some huge snow banks. It will chop up crusty ice too. Hydrostatic is great too as you can slam it forward back if you have some really frozen berm. Throws snow very far. Occasionally lost some sheer pins. I think the electric powered shoot will be nice but will need a battery tender over the summer.

@@ABC-nv8ly In the first years I got a lot of salt on the machine and it got into the bearings after about 5 years. They definitely needed replacement. They are very easy to repair. Only recently I needed one belt but it lasted about 10 years. I also replaced the lamp with an LED bulb.

Can't go wrong with the honda power plant but the frame is subject to rust, and there's no replacement parts for body components that rust out (auger chute etc). If Honda discontinues it, getting parts for it is problematic. Owned lots of honda powered things, had few complaints about any of them overall. Random info: Honda's 7hp snow blower unit says 7hp on the adverts but is actually a 5.5hp motor according to factory stats.

I have owned a hs928 since 2004. Never had any problems until last year. The gear drive for the tracks failed. Had it repaired and it went again last week. I picked up a new hss1332 yesterday and will have the 928 repaired and sold. I looked hard at the Yamaha 1028 model as it is the only make as good as or possibly better than the Honda. The Yamaha was a grand more than the Honda. $6500.00 Canadian dollars after taxes for the Yammie..yikes! Good luck with your Honda...can’t wait for the next storm to try out my 1332.

I also have a HSS928 - happy will performance and reliability but the handles are a bit low. That can be issue for people who are taller than 6´ … I am 6’4 and it is annoying to have to bend over, especially when you raise the front. I can live with it but a taller person should check that out to decide if it is an issue before buying.

@@rjgaming7563 Your right about going and starting it ,No AC start, and get the job done W/O a break down. I wish I got mine when you got yours everything is so inflated now ,3400 out the door . The only thing I don't know is about the battery , can you put a battery tender on it ,it gets 25 below as a high a lot here in MN . I put in motorkote ,can save your engine from cold starts ,it saved one of my cars driving 20 miles w/o oil in it well it has 1 qt.its a hyper lubricant not an oil additive. Bet you get more snow there. My wife thinks we should get the 724 easier to handle for her if I'm out of commission,I told her I didn't think there would be any difference .. She doesn't want to lift or have to physically turn it. I think it will do all that for her.she should be able to push down and lock the auger housing in place don't you think.? We have a few years on you lol. Just saw a vid where a guy was complaining the it doesn't steer easy with out muscleing it ,some agreed some said it's no problem. My wife won't be able or want to muscle it around . you should have bought an electric snowblower because that one will be illegal soon. California just banned them and New York state drafted the same ban modeled after the California ban and it's fully expected to pass. Once it passes, Pennsylvania will probably be next and then the other Democrat run states will implement the same ban.
