No. The person he idolzes was Deana his childhood sweetheart who he waited for. He did not recognise her even when they were married. However, the ex-wife knew all along that they were childhood sweethearts but never told him. The ex-wife lost her phone at the bar and so the fake Deana was able to take over. The fake is also a spy for another company. When he said if he knew she was deana he would never divorce was because he loved his childhood sweetheart and to him she was the best. The ex-wife still belives it was for money why he said this. As usual in C dramas or novels, there is no communication, poor behaviours and everyone thinks they are right so they never look for another answer. I read the enovel to this book and after the third bout of kidnapping, miscommunication and amnesia, I dropped it. It was essentially a drag out to make money on those expensive apps. I bet it is still ongoing and close to 3 thousand chapters now.

I've come to realize that in drama land people have lost the sense of curiosity. Writers always count on their leads lack of interest to move the plot, which is weird cuz people in general tend to be naturally curious, particularly in matters that concern one's immediate world (like the person you are in a relationship with/married to).🤷🤷🤷

Did you see the scene of when they were young? He told her to follow her dreams and become a fashion designer.. He was inlove with his childhood friend, Diana. This is why he said he would have never divorced her. He did not know that Diana was his wife nor that she was rich. She only spoke of her grandffather in their childhood and never elaborated. He also did not elaborate as to why he was inlove with Diana. He just keeps saying they would have never divorced but goes no further. This leaves the real Diana to believe to the last of the drama that he only wanted her, Diana, for money and fame. He never told her that he was the boy that she knew during thier childhood. She just did not talk either. Again a Chinese drama where nobody really talks about things fully so it leads to misunderstandings. There is also the point of both of them being angry so they tend to cut each other off nmd-sentence. Quite frustrating and very typical.

In the book which is still ongoing she went back and several stupid plots. The ML was not stupid he reacted off what he got. She never told him correctly that she is Deana. He was waiting for Deana his childhood love all his life that is why he could not accept the ex-wife when she was his wife. He was duped. She knew all along who he was but never told him nor gave him proof. His family only saw a money grab. As usual poor communication and quick tempers. When he said in the last part if he knew she was Deana he would have not divorced because he waited for his childhood Deana and the promise they made. She assumed as usual he was talking about her money. As children he was the one that encouraged her to be the fashion designer but she never showed her face. People grow up, features change but she thought he would recognise her, the true Deana? I dropped the novel and shortly after the money grab app could find no end to the ridiculousness. In the book she was always in her head, never communicating and assumed he would never believe her so she went on her secretive stupidness. While he was always in the dark and scared of losing her. Several bouts of amnesiaa and crap yet he still crawled to her and she still stuck in her head. Always assuming he should know and trust heer while she never once opened up.
