I just purchased the Q600C to replace the Q60C that was causing nothing but problems with the Samsung TV. We live in an apartment, and I really appreciate the improvement in the sound quality. I have to be careful with the volume of the sub as the neighbors upstairs will start complaining. This is a great system for the price ($399) and I am really pleased that I can understand the dialogue much better with the improved Q600C.

A word of caution when it comes to the klipsch cinema 600, the power supply is known to be faulty. I had a issue after a year and a half of use and it died. With no help from klipsch and no replacement parts offered, i had to DIY a fix with a aftermarket power supply. Luckily I was able to fix it with a 15 dollar part that saved my investment of almost 1000 dollars.

There are quite a few Samsung 8" subwoofers popping up for sale lately and they pair with the 600 (at least from the R series forward), and this makes a huge difference in the impact of this bar. I picked up a sub from a pawn shop for $20 for my son's 600, the difference was night and day.

I just ordered the Sammy Q600C and I’m so excited to use it! Got a brand new on sale here in the Philippines from around $450 to just around $270. It will be my first Dolby Atmos soundbar. Your review and content helped me take the leap and buy it. Kudos to your great content and very detailed review!

With the q-cinama series now being at the C version, the q700b is about the same price as the q600c. It would be interesting to see how these two match up!

Oddly enough, the compact and underwhelming sub box was what sold me on the q600c. As a considerate apartment dweller, the lady downstairs would have a fit if I started pumping that giant down firing klipsch thing.

One last thing, I actually thought the bass was hitting pretty decent while playing my music but I’m comparing against my TCL alto I previously had so maybe I’m not the best judge lol. I will be getting the accompanying rear speakers soon so maybe I can update on my thoughts after but so far I love this soundbar.

Hello, I have a Sony KDL-55W805C TV (or 808C, I don't remember), I bought it in 2017, so only now, after so many years, I want to change something and test 2 soundbars: Bose TV Speaker 3.0 100 W soundbar and the second one 200W Samsung HW-Q600C. Both prices are identical, approximately PLN 1,150. Of course, the difference is noticeable even to a deaf person - the TV speakers are no longer suitable for listening after connecting both devices. I have a dilemma which one to leave. Even though Bose does not have a separate bass speaker, it does a great job and I am very pleased with it, it does not take up much space under the TV and is elegant. The Samsung, on the other hand, is much larger and has a separate speaker for the bass, so the bass is more noticeable and catches my ear better than the Bose (but I must emphasize that I like both). Recently, I listened to a Soundbar for PLN 2,600 at my family's house and for me the bass was like crazy :) I connected both soundbars to the TV with an HDMI Arc cable and this is how I listen to and test them. I feel like it would be quieter when viewed optically, but I'll check it out later. At the beginning, I couldn't handle the Samsung because I turned the volume up to 100% and it played much quieter than the Bose, e.g. at 40%, I set something in it and now it's at 12-15% and it's loud, the night mode was turned on, which makes it quiet. probably everything except the sopranos :) I have a TV with Play via optical fiber, I run Amazon Prime, KZfaq, Netflix, etc. and only on KZfaq it is the quietest, while on the rest of the applications it is loud. I noticed something like this: a Disney cartoon is playing in English, it's very loud at volume e.g. 15, I change the language to PL and I have to turn the volume to 100% and there's nothing great either. Why is this the case with Samsung? I'm still checking if it's the same with Bose, but I think it will be the same everywhere. Does YT or the Polish language have a different sound coding and that's why it plays so much quieter? I still need to check what the sound will be like from PS5 and from a pendrive with a movie.

My C600 died after 3 years of usage. They have many issues with their power supplies. It was also giving some kind of software lag to my SONY X90J TV when connected through HDMI ARC. Unfortunately, mine had a problem with the other board which was too much for me to figure out. Don't waste your money.

Got the Q600C for free with a Samsung S90C TV in the UK. Definitely great sound in my small living room and Dolby Atmos blows the walls off.

Q600C/d or q990c/d? It is too much to have Q990 in 30m2 room?

I own both and tbh the Klipsch is way better even with that codecs of the Samsung, cinema 600 has crisp notes and BIG DEEP BASS over the Samsung The Atmos experience on this samsung is not really good at all

I have the 700b soundbar which is good all rounder for tv viewing watching films listening to music and gaming for a 3.1.2 i was Very surprised with the sound but the Dolby Atmos fell short till i purchased the rear speakers 2.0.2 giviit a 5.1.4 set up so now your in a bubble of sound got it on offer for £453 with delivery but had to buy the rears separately they where £250 but the bar its swlf was originally going for £699 si cant grumble at that price i got it for £453 buy now pay next year

I have the Q930b as my main SB but in my Bedroom I have the Majority Sierra plus and I have to say I've always been impressed and it still amazes me from time to time, I got it for a lot less than these two in review and I reckon it beats them as it still pleases after hearing the 930b which can be found in this price range if you shop around, Q930b would be game over here

yes the Klipsch 600 is a good soundbar. One of the best i have owned especially with rear speakers. To bad it's not up to date on features, connections and sound codecs. I would have kept it. The new Yamaha's look good to but again No DTS support. kills it for me.

You didn't like the vizio elevate? That is one of the most awesome soundbars there is for the price.

Where has the world come. There were times it was embarrassing, taboo to buy Hi Fi speakers from manufacturers which specialized in audio components (Sony, Denon etc..). But it seems that mainstream electronics brands are catching up. For me , being a Klipsch admirer, it is disappointing to aee it lose to "a Samsung". But i guess that's due to the smart move Samsung did acquiring Harman Kardon. Although i would have liked to see them differntiate the soundbar business with a more Audiophile 'aroma', branding the higher end models to be Lexicon or Mark Levinson (both HK brands, owned by Samsung). I think Samsung strategy is mainly focused on mainstream consumers, trying to to bundle them up to a one brand TV / Soundbar setups. i think thats a marketing mistake, since no audiophile would buy a Samsung brnaded soundbar, be it the Q990 high end model. Thats like trying to sell Toyota Crown in America....you have Lexus for that!

I'm confused about the up firing drivers from the Q600C that you mentioned. I read elsewhere that there are no upfire drivers for the Q600C, that it has wholes that leak sound up from the front drivers. Is that information incorrect? Here is the info: "Unlike the HW-Q700C series, it does not include upward-facing speakers, which makes Dolby Atmos playback less spectacular. It does, however, use the Acoustic Beam system, which emits sound upward through ported tubes, providing virtual Dolby Atmos playback. It also features HDMI eARC, 3rd generation Q-Symphony support, and the option to add rear speakers for a surround sound system."

It's a little more expensive, but any chance of reviewing a 5.1 roku system? It's about $700 for a full 5.1 system (with the 10" sub) and has a built in roku. I'd be really interested in your opinion. Thanks.

Just an addition for Samsung TV owners, the graphic eq is shown on screen if you press up on the home bar sound setting, the Bluetooth speaker select is above the sound output for soundbar, and picture setting is above picture mode. Hope this is of use 🙃

Hi, i really hope you will reply. I have the Klipsch Cinema 600 and it just stopped switching on after just under 5 months of ownership. I dont know whether they will refund me, but should I go with the Q800C? Will ot be powerful enough? I enjoyed the powerful bass and the 107db of the Cinema 600 5.1. It just seems very unreliable.
