From Wikipedia: Rannazzisi had said he had worked in the South Tower of the World Trade Center at Merrill Lynch, on the 54th floor during the September 11 attacks, and described his experience escaping death.[ He had said the events inspired him to move to Los Angeles and pursue stand-up comedy. In September 2015, after being contacted by a reporter from The New York Times for an article debunking his claim,Rannazzisi admitted his story was a lie. Rannazzisi was never employed by Merrill Lynch, which did not have offices in the World Trade Center then, and did not attend the State University of New York at Purchase, as he additionally had claimed.

Redbar is the only free speaker in the world. So refreshing to hear someone say whatever without pandering to sponsors. Other comics must be so jealous of your freedom since they constantly have to pander, kiss ass, and can't say what they really feel. After discovering Redbar, it's impossible to go back to the fakery. It must kill them all to know that you can't be cancelled while they all easily can.

Being from NJ. when we lost Stern to Sirius years ago. We lost a voice in our tri state area....a voice like mikes. But now that I found redbar on youtube. My life is complete again. I was talking to a co-worker today about 9/11 and they had the nerve to tell me "I wasn't born yet, but my mom and dad told me it was like nothing they'd ever seen in their lifetime." Wasn't even born yet? Are you kidding me? I gotta be honest, this has not been sitting well with me at all. FINALLY. I was on top of the triplet tower sipping my warm glass of Hawaiian Punch, I tried to warn all the bankers by screaming "OICEBEHG, ROIGH' AHEAD!" but then realized they were all indoors underneath me so I jumped and thankfully someone had just set up a trampoline for me to bounce off of and land safely. I looked over at Steve Rannaschemzi and we then spotted Bigfoot walking past us before the first plane hit. What a day, I had just convinced Chappelle to do a sketch show (with all my ideas) which would come about a couple years later, was on my way to copyright the term "podcast" after inventing recorded conversations and buying an i(pod). Just broke up with Elizabeth Hurley (again), and no one mentions that little chicken sandwich shop I had developed that was part of the destruction (it was still under construction). The secret was the spinach beneath the chicken, hence "Popeye's Chicken" inspired by the man himself. Steve ran into the 2nd tower and I thought "wow, how brave, he's going to warn people and try to save some" but quickly ran out as he had just snagged the last of the breakfast buffet sandwiches.
