God, I still remember hearing this song for the first time when it came out and becoming instantly obsessed. I used to listen to Fantastic Planet from beginning to end over and over and over. I can’t think of another album that has ever affected me the way FP did except maybe Alice in Chains’ “Dirt”. The weird thing was that nobody around me ever really even acknowledged Failure. I knew no other fans until I met a dude back in 2004/2005 while deployed to the Middle East, and it was like meeting a long-lost brother for the first time.

Ken, Greg and Troy all favor unique chord structures, tunings and arrangements. They are all unorthodox players.

This was interesting for me. I had heard the APC version first but I never thought it was a cover. Then one day I got into Failure and I was like, woah, no way, that was a cover? and from that day I realised how superior the Failure version is.

I stopped lending out my copy of FP because those fuckers kept stealing it and I'd have to buy it again. Now I just sit their ass down and play it for them then and there. That album was a life-changer for me and I spread the gospel whenever I can.
