The faster you reach endgame the faster they make money from sales in the cash shop for items like wards for gear upgrading. The more people at endgame content will make for more of a demand and general increase in cash shop and zen purchases. I'm not sure it's more for a D&D feel , feels more like streamlining the game to make endgame the cash shop

@@Silv3ry one thing i would like to know what happens to characters i have that are max level or over level 20? do they reset to 20 or reset to level 1 and i have to level them up again? and their gear and other items what happens to them?

Same with me. I and friend dont have too much time playing, so just start a new character and leveling it to 30 or 60. After we hit max level the grind and gathering become a real work, so we start over again.

They need to. The game is mostly veteran players. Levelling players and veteran players don't spend money. It's that in-between bracket who does and Cryptic need to get their money from somewhere

​@@giannhspan3610 It depends on what your goals are. There's allot to do in this game. The money/grind trap is the end game content/retaining BIS. If for example, you wanted to grind out a BIS toon, you'd have to play the game for 18 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year for five years. If you just want to be able to run the end game dungeons and are not bothers about BIS then based on the same effort, you'd be looking at about 12-18 months This game is free to play pay to progress faster (and allot faster). The problem is that this doesn't become apparent until you've reached max level and can see what you need for the end game content. So the answer to your question is simply that it depends on what your expectations are.

@Bob Saunders same .. they destroying stuff that works and made neverwinter great piece by piece ...to make place for flawed or straight re*arded stuff (for example scaling that reduce your stats as punishment for increasing itemlevel with new hear so hard .. that you end up weaker after gear upgrade) just to appear with "hey look we are doing something .. here take our new system thats worse than old one" it feels like most developers does stuff just to change something .. completely ignoring quality giving up on lore / stories im DnD inspired game is absolutely insane .. 90% people enjoyed those quest chains with deep storyalot more than current " kill 200 000 demons and 1500 BHE to finish module" f2p bis with grind is ofc possible ,, problem is that most new dungeons are for top 10% so most newbies who finish leveling have to grind for year to even participate on content honestly its not better even for top 10% most veterans around me who farmed tomm ragequit after zariel release .. disgusted by that trash but devs still think its better to poke into working systems .. instead creating actual meaningfull content ... you are definitely right about peak ... they moved roughtly half of developer team to other projects during M17 ....thats never good sign ... and put us closer to maitnance mode

@Bob Saunders well .. hes right partially wrong in other things *power creep *= thing that exist in every MMO that must be controlled *ultra rare items* = this wasnt really nwn issue in m16 .. ravenloft cards are ok .... even undermountain was manageable *stupid rng* avernus was boring trash with bad dungeon as bonus .... but second part was where sh** hit the fan gear from T3 was RNG behind RNG behind RNG behind RNG from randomly spawning enemies + t3 pieces are not significantly better than easily obtained ones *devaluing weapons/armor* = part of life for every mmo the only working way to keep people busy is to give them content ..and to encourage people to run new harder content you need gear they cant grind in tutorial sdoloable dungeons basically any new gear decrease value of old pieces as long as its better ( if its same or weaker no one really care about it) *removing ad methods* = nope getting ad is easier than before ... its 100% fine that people need to actually play game content instead reloading 50 characters to refine leadership ad *1% enchant upgrade* = 100% fine .. no one cares about % chance its basically coal ward required as reagent .. and honestly i dont see any problem with few coal wards spend on armor /weapon ench .. its still extremely cheap compared to other enchantments for every slot *timed bosses* = yes those are weird some casses are fine .. like sva but zariel /tomm/citadel is overcomplicated mess .. unfriendly to new players but dps isnt main problem .... defensive stat requirement is alot worse and tomm meant unavoidable 1 shot for 90% people hard locking them out *pay to win* =hmm its nopt that bad ... you can have maxed character in year or two for free its more about content difficulty new player cant handle even basic monsters in avernus zariel ? nope maxed out characters only hunts? ... nope maybe i soloed all T2 but most new people would need group to handle even basic T1s ... making grind even more tedious *class powers feats paragons* = well some of them were broken beyond redemption or completely pointless and unused change itself is good .. but what they did is atrocity *playstyles * = again this had to be solved .... whene very party require DC or two to tripple their damage happily sacrificing healers and other dps for them its definitely wrong .. same as lifesteal why should dps be able to solo dungeons facetanking bosses because lifesteal heal them for milions every second

@@sergioalmeida1795 Yes.. do yourself a favour and wait. It is abominably slow. The main weekly quests don't offer enough enough currency to build it quickly, and there is only one repeatable daily that can actually be done once per hour. It was meant to be a new campaign for new players to level up to L70 with. But it takes weeks and weeks to get anywhere near to get the Heart of Fire Enchantment. And then if you want the Boons as well.... you would be WAY past max level by the time you finish it. And of course the jokes... even if you might find them funny the first time, by the 12th or 13th time you've heard Jim Darkmagic go on about his damned eggs... you'll want to just kill them all and burn the AI Building to the ground.

@@shinon748 true but it really isnt hard to reach 20 is 10 to 15 hourse then done with leveling however from 1 to 70 is a good couple of days essentially paying to skip the grind but to 20 there isnt a grind (fairly good making it easier) so a high price tag for a level that only takes a few hourse a bit of a 15 buck for a single skin kind of situation

it is a shame, some of them will still be accessible from other areas though. (elemental evil, acquisitions)

That will be possible to do. Azure Enchants will no longer give XP bonus, and will give Movement rate bonus, at the moment that goes up to 5% per Utility slot. (I imagine this will be nerfed...)

not rly ... content in last years is hack and slash without sigjnificant story and lore ... they actually kicked people out of thoser story based quests by adding brainless random queue with 10x faster xp so its definitely going to be kill this / kill that or buy it content

I am liking the changes with this mod. The combat changes of a few months ago were tough to adjust to, but I've gotten over it. Scaling functions much better than before

Character Levels don't matter in scaling anyway once you hit "Endgame" status. It's all about Item Level. You will just advance to "Endgame" in a linear "Milestone" path to Level 20, rather than an open "XP Grind" route to Level 80. There is LITERALLY no difference between the current L80 characters and upcoming L20 except for an 8 changing to a 2. It's ALL about Item Level at Endgame. (Item Level is now a major factor in Damage and Hitpoints) And yeah, start playing it again before the new mod drops, as the Combat and Stats, Paragons and "Build" style has changed a whole lot over the years.... getting used to it before the Bard drops will mean you don't have to handle all those changes as well as getting your head round those "Notes"...
