It's not, they wish to be, but its not, even more people left by now, PvP queues are empty, there is nobody there.

Instead of calling them "mods" they should call them "grinds". Grind 17 is about "Do you have the will to grind for weeks to do something that could be done in a week?" I guess it's a way to take up time between new grinds.

They updated the intro, and starting quests as well, but most players do not care about that.

after 6 or 7 times doing this 2x quest you ll get a fragment expedition. and this will give you 2/4. so basicly after 2 weeks you finish the quest and thats all that mod 17 gives you.

@@TheRealAssistMan yep do your 2 daily quests everyday and you finish the 0/4 quest in 2 weeks and thats it.. i came back to this in mod 16 all excited and now im bored again and left :D just logging on to get my daily 100 000 ad. Also after ages i finally upgraded my vorpal to rank 14 and yesterday i saw they nerf it next patch from 50% down to 15%. so basicly farming half a year for a rank 14 vorpal and now that im happy having a success its getting nerfed. im a bit bored and annoyed at the same time

You do those quests twice to be able to do expedition. Once you have done 4 of each expedition you unlock the new trial. The Mod was mostly PVP changes, added new expeditions and a Trial with Halaster at the end for PVE.

After you get enough rods of something from the warden expeditions (i think it's 4), you get a different kind of expedition called fragment expedition. When you finish a frag expedition you get one piece of the zarinthon/zarothon/zeraetheon. Only when you get 4 of those pieces, you finally get the reward. The something jewelry box. Iniside of it, there is a list of IL 1010 companion gear - each one give you +12k in a single stat - with two slots each, for you to choose one.... and that's it. Edit: more "good" news. they gonna buff warlock and nerf Vorpal in the next month.

@Misty Kat they also plan on changing crit and combat advantage and changing the damage formula, i did the math and even after the nerf to vorpal your damage will be going up.

Just more of the boring shit from Mod 16. Running expeditions over and over and over with our new nerfed characters with a slew of useless items to get that most people won't use or even get from the terrible drop rates as usual. Can't wait to see the same shit done in mod 18. Were' talking over 3 months later, 3x ME runs per day, still never pulled a Staff of Flowers? What incentive to grind for the Sceptre? Absolutely none with that kind of drop rate garbage.

@@TheRealAssistMan In order the do the teachings of Zerthimon, you have to collect 4 rods from githyyanki expedition and illithid expedition. After you collect the 4 rods they will give you quest called illithid and githyyanki fragment expedition. You will get one fragment per expedition for the teachings of Zerthimon. I am guessing two days later you get the other fragments. I unlocked it today. 😃

Enjoy the expeditions ;) You do the daily quests every day, and every other day you get what you need to open up some expeditions, then after a couple of these you get more advanced expeditions (different end bosses), and that's about it, then you'll be doing that each week to get one piece of gear per new boss (RNG so mostly crap), open more Zok boxes and get some 1000/1010 (on PC) gear, until you get the gear you need to increase your stats, especially TOMM cap stats (including defense for dps, it's useful). Then you can check out TOMM, good luck with that.

Sauciflash I seem to be in the minority among most of the people who post their thoughts on youtube concerning the game, as in overall I am enjoying NW more than ever. I also have no major issue with mod 17 and enjoy the Intelligence Quests, WE’s, and FE’s. IMO the game is overall more balanced than it has been in years. I see more Alliance groups/ activity including more people playing a variety ofclasses than previously ( prior Mod 16 ). Although I could certainly nick pick certain things I feel they are reestablishing the game to have a better foundation for the future. I will criticize that they go for the nerf bat to easily on certain things such as the vorpal enchantment ( currently being possibly nerfed) compared to simply making other things a bit better. But no game is perfect, and I feel the good improvements outweight the bad when looking toward the future.

Do your dailies, as it gives you companion gear, and then your fragment expeditions (after you get the 3 rod pieces), you get new shirt and pants. Every 2 days you get warden expeditions. I'm at 2/4 for the fragment quest. So give or take another week and I'll have tower of the mad mage open, and you get the scrolls from the tower for the gear/mount Edit: if you get the fragment expeditions, you get 2 pieces to trade to zok, which gave me some decent stuff, then the 2 warden expeditions giving you 2 more, then 3 mes, for a total of 7 pieces to trade to zok. I agree, it's lackluster, but it gives me something to do while I'm waiting to get my gear set up better/getting enchantments and runestones ranked up

@@TheRealAssistMan I agree. I was so lost when this mod started. Then when I finally figured out what I was doing wrong, I started running my dailies and that's when I figured it out myself. It's stupid that they didn't give us any helpful tips for this part of the "campaign", and it's even more stupid that it's time locked on us. We can only run certain quests each day, and we have to be lucky to get anything good from it. This mod is more annoying than it is fun, and that's putting it mildly. Hopefully next mod brings something new and keeps us wanting to run stuff, as I'm getting burnt out. It's the same stuff every day

Mod 17 is so terrible and Neverwinter has turned into “Groundhog Day” starring the awesome Bill Murray. Brother I can’t even stomach a game where not even the devs themselves have an end game character, much less play the game on a regular basis vs. testing. enjoy those fragment expeditions for the next 4-6 months 😂. there IS a new trial, but only a fraction of the player base will complete.

Mod17 is just a super tiny extension to the already terrible mod16, but enough changes in the update, to push back endgame players and encourage more cash grabbing gameplay to get back to where they were. Talking of the campaign and those two pathetic daily missions, nothings changed. Nothing really new, I mean all they done is stuck a load of illithid in the undermountain and brought in this measly weasle looking space hub. The games dead folks, day by day, cryptic are losing revenue, more and more dedicated players who have poured their heart soul time and money into the game have left and cut Their losses. The game has lost its core long ago, it's no longer considered part of the D&D family in my honest opinion. I went back after mod17 dropped just to see the changes and well.... 10 mins later I went straight back to playing Tera. Only a matter of time before cryptic realise they won't have enough lower grouped players to pay to advance in the game and they'll be that short of revenue and turnaround, when it comes to the end of year audits they'll pull the plug eventually. In my most heartfelt opinion of being a Neverwinter veteran myself, I'm extremely disappointed in Cryptic but nowhere near surprised with their mind games and stupid stunts they pull off to encourage people to line their pockets.

Well said man! They don’t realize that they’d make SO MUCH more money if they offered us what we want! We’d grind constant for new gear, we’d spend money on keys if the boxes were worth a damn, but they don’t care any more.

Well, I don't need to tell you where they stand right now. Put it this way, three months of me playing Tera has been better than 3 years of disappointment from Neverwinter.

You do two quests then the next day you do 2 again and 2 warden quests to get a rod piece from each, eventually you will get a fragment quest which is how you get fragments for the ziritham

So... It's all timegated. You do the 2 quests for Intel everyday. Every Other day you get 2 Warden Expeditions (1 Gith, 1 Illithid). Every WE gives you a rod section of that type. Once you have 3 rod sections of a type, you get a Fragment Expedition. Each completed FE gives you a Teaching of Zerthimon.

From my understanding the quest you have to collect from your daily dungeons you need either 3 githyaki scrolls or 3 of the other scroll once you get your 3 scrolls from you daily go back to map and it will unlock a ME for the stardocks it will be in the bottom right corner

To get a teaching of zerthymon you have to do this expeditions twice, twice for one from the gith and twice from the illithid that will unlock a master expedition mission where you can get one piece out of four of the staff

Hey just watched your video. Just keep farming those expeditions. You have to get 4 of each. 4 Intelligence and 4 rods. The you will be able to collect 2 fragments. Then you have to wait a week to repeat the process.

To get those fragments u have to do the info quests 2 one day 2 the next then u get a Warden Expidition now u get 2 go's 1 is gith the other is mindflayer now u need 3sections of the rod to get one fragment expidition. Than start over til u get all 4

I feel like they could redo some of the old dungeons and make them feel like new content with minmal work involved. Just changing monsters and moving traps and things like that.

To complete the mission it will take 12 day to complete that one mission you have to gather the scripts to do w/e then you'll get another thing like shards so you can do z/e to get the rods

so here is my build try it out if you wish idk if it's best but it works for me at will ice ray/ Encounters I use conduit of ice, Icey terrain,chill strike and ray of enfeeblement on R1/ Daily ice knife, ice storm/ Class features crit conflagration, chilling presence/ and Feats select from left to right top top bottom top top. try it out see what you think I also like using lostmauth set and tennebros enchantment adds to the dmg output the more hits you can do per sec the better

I finally stopped playing (on Xbox) right after this mod dropped for PC and I saw how bad it was. Gave away what I could from my account and un-installed the game. NW may not be "dead" but it's certainly on life support. They're sucking all they can out of people with microtransactions while not delivering on the content.

Every 2 days of running investigation missions opens Warden Expeditions which gives you 2 pieces of rods. (1 for each fragment mission. 2 different missions all together) You need 3 rod pieces to open the 2 fragments missions. 6 days to get 2 fragments. You should be able to get all 4 fragments in 12 days. I dont look at MoD17 as a real MoD, its more like 16.5. I look at MoD16 and 17 as nothing more then Neverwinter system evolution. MoD 18 will be the make or break for me.

I whole heartedly agree with your video. I found out that I can't even run the tower dungeon cuz I haven't run LoMM. Plus the dumbass gear score needs to be 24k. The whole game is garbage.

Okay... it confusing so keep up.... you have to do your two quest for two days to get your two expositions to get your "rods" and you need three rods to get a teaching... and you must get 4 of them which looks like 16 days to complete the quest.... and from there I have no idea. This was very sloppy. I'm really just enjoying collecting old items for my appearance tab on all my characters.

Reinstalled Neverwinter a few weeks ago and after less then a week it was gone, hate the changes to crafting ect, if you wait for a bit I bet they'll reset the armour cap forcing everyone to regrind for AC again, the mechanic which drove me from the game....way to go Cryptic killing a wonderful world, this cant be.the end of BlackIsles legendary vision 😢

Hah... “I would love to tell my friends to come play neverwinter, there’s so many dungeons, there’s so much to do, there’s so much build diversity...” this is me actually yelling at my friends to come play ESO!... you actually can say all that about ESO... yet my stubborn ass friends stay in brokenwinter. 👎

Loki I can appreciate your opinion on that.. not everything is for everyone. I am curious to know however, how you have come to this conclusion about eso. For me, if I was to put both games on paper, side by side with each other making comparisons to every parallel (graphics, gameplay, questing, leveling, content, character builds/play styles/variety, dungeons, gear, etc)... eso comes out on top, some cases by a long ways. Let me know, I’m interested in your thoughts

Not to mention they keep taking a huge dump on DPS characters by not giving us any better gear than the kiuno, fearbringers, etc and they especially hate barbarians bc it seems like they keep doing crap to them to push them towards tanking, which if you’re a DPS main like I am, you don’t WANT to freaking tank!

I quit playing because it’s not as fun as it used to. Last I saw, the queues were over 30 minutes which means people aren’t playing as much as before.

and not only all of that but they have been handing out legendary toads like they were going out of style in a 10 min span of time I counted upwards of 20 characters getting legendary toads

Literally is no campaign u don’t even get the expedition everyday you haven’t gotten anything wrong it’s literally this for 16 days and then the new trial and that is absolutely it , literally the laziest and worst dev team in the history of video games

This game is trash. I have a 22k gwf with r13 vorpal and this game is so boring, unimaginative and just downright greedy. Been playing Eso now for 3 1/2 weeks and that game is legit. Check it out

Assist man! Loved Your video as always, I watched it this morning with the girlfriend over coffee. First, I have to disagree with respect to mod 17 potentially being worse than mod 15. My only beef with 17 is they could have done a better job of explaining the progression if any, and expectations. I looked at the campaign tracker to see if the uprising would be updated to the under mountain, or if it'll be it's own campaign; are there boons associated with uprising? Brother, they don't tell us shit! I had no clue if I was running it correctly the first week. The other thing is I'm kind of sick of doing expeditions. At this point I'm kind of expeditiond out LOL but despite that, I still think it's better than 15. Mod 15 was just a pathetic shit splat of a mod pieced together in the laziest of fashions and should be taken out of the game completely. I will agree that 17 lacks content and is probably in need of an enigma. Once again man I Love your video; always real and always great. I'm looking forward to your next one. To call this a Mod is pretty laughable. 4 quests(2 wes and 2 dailies). They didn’t put any thought or effect into this mod. If this is what mods are going to be now, then fuck this game. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

Sadly mod 17 is a bis only trial and nothing else after a few weeks bis players get tired of the trial and that leads to crazy struggle to fill groups for trial. Worst mod neverwinter ever made
