Go to the antiquities vendor in PE next to the rewards claim agent. Tab 2 is for enchantments, tab 4 for weapon/armor

The Illusions (excl some special cases) will all be unbound when exchange. Even when slotting, they do not become bound so you can trade them whenever

Yes you can give to other toon. Even after equipped with main toon.

The illusion is just the visual, no functional effect is linked to the illusion itself.

Not sure, but you can reclaim the enchantment as many times as you want anyway so it doesnt matter too much

They stay unbound, so you can equip/unequip them and also sell them whenever you want

Illusions are unbound last time I checked!

They are for sale in the auction house. Not sure where they drop to be honest, I've personally never seen them drop from end chests...

I'm a little late to chime in on this, but here goes.... You have to collect ten shards of the weapon enchant to get what must be refined and traded for an illusion. Recently collecting them, I've seen them drop in two places. In the Dread Ring they sometimes drop from the Thayan coffers and the end of the strongholds where you'll have to fight a boss. You'll need a gauntlet to access the coffer, and I believe it requires the best gauntlet to have a chance of dropping a shard. The second place I farmed them is in the River District. In the dig sites sometimes the end boss is a large bone golem. This boss sometimes drops shards. You may want to check out the AH too. Good luck 👍

If they had did Shadowclad as a shifting almost amorphous shadow, as if you had picked up and made portable the one corner of the room that seems unnaturally engulfed in shadow so that light even seems too shy from it. Lol

Illusions are just slottables which you can slot and remove like enchantments. They do not bind when you slot them as it stands now!

The weapon illusion works on both the offhand and main hand at the same time. You cannot specify this

These are visuals and are completely decoupled from the combat enchant now. I can use the "new bilethorn" and use the feytouched illusion for example.

The number of normal R9's "out there" and their relative value would have them dominate the exchange. I've got an alt with literally thousands of them sitting in a vault of the bank, and I'm nowhere near the sort of level that some people are at with stockpiles of stuff. I DO think R9 Weapon and Armour enchants should be worth something. 8's and below are probably too common to factor into the exchange rate for similar reasons to normal R9s. I rarely see eye to eye with Mr Sears on his comments about changes, but have to smile at his comment to someone on the Arc forum who was complaining about how all the standard R9s were now "worthless" when he simply asked, (very politely, in one of the most beautiful bits of passive aggressive behaviour I've ever seen...) what they were planning to do with all those stored Rank 9's in the existing model that gave them a current value that was being removed. I think people are going a bit crazy assuming that the ONLY way to get new enchants will be through this exchange mechanism, and therefore anyone without the facility to trade in will be left permanently screwed. I did a bit of "bag of a cigarette packet" working out based on one of my alts who has R9's in every slot, (and currently sits at just below 40K IL). Simply replacing the R9s with New R1s will give them an additional (roughly) 2-3K to IL and better stats across the board. They just won't be "Purple". And I fully expect to be able to gain those enchants over a period of a week or two IF I focus on that toon, which I won't do... because it's an alt. What I will do, is use my mains for a week without trading anything, (Why would I when I get a week of free R4s???) to best judge the way to garner the R1s I need for my alts while seeing if I can get drops of higher enchants through game play for my mains, without having to waste the exchange currency in a mad rush to be "BiS" from day one. I'm not going to blow a wad on R1 or R2 choice packs if it turns out that I can get them from Lockboxes, Chests, the Trade Bar store (just because they aren't there NOW on Preview, doesn't mean they won't be when it goes live...) and any number of other places without doing that, allowing me to focus on getting a few higher Combat and Companion enchants to pass around between my alts. (Gold costs for applying/removing are now gone. So switching good ones between characters is now more viable.) What they are showing us on Preview is the mechanics of the system, not the full implementation over the whole game, including the other ways we will be able to get hold of new Enchantments.

Maybe, and this actually could be - but we will see!

You know, for as crappy as the enchant is, I’ve always been a fan of it’s visuals

I honestly don't see the issue. This new system enables proper use of loadouts and all it does is supply the player with new opportunities to go to higher ranks. The old ranks are cleaned up to get a much more clean system. Just see R1-R5 as R14-R18, but beefed up. Also we get unbound enchantments back from the exchange which is exactly what players asked for last time. We even (probably) get the absoltely broken option to turn in a R5 enchantment for a bound account wide reclaimable one, which is absolutely broken if you play multiple toons! The only thing I don't like is the limited amount of different enchantments we have to choose from now. But I hope that will be extended at some point.

@@RainerNW when you break it down like that, I can see some positive. I’m thinking I’ve just got ptsd, Ave it’s my knee jerk reaction to wherever they pull another revamp, which just seems so often. Your beef is my biggest one. Taking all the enchants away as well as the weapon and armor enchants and than on top of it, only allowing us to slot either a weapon OR an armor, and not both. They touted how this was going to really increase the ability to customize our characters and other then the illusions they’ve decreased how customizable they are now. Why only weapon or armor??? Just makes NO sense. I guess in the end I’m the idiot for trying to rationalize their actions.

Freaking pitiful, specially since a rank 8 gets the same illusion. Anyone want to do the math on how much is spent on resources to get from rank 9 or worse yet rank 7 to rank 14? That is a cold slap in the face cryptic, at least make it seem like you’re trying to give us something to replace our extreme losses, some of us went as far as to have at least one of each enchant at rank 14. Do the math there and tell me this isn’t just the definition of insulting.

Well, you trade your R14 (800 item level) in for a new R4 combat enchantment (4000 item level) and the visual is a bonus ;-)

I showed in my previous video that the illusion is just a bonus. Apart from the skins I also got enough credit for each enchantment to get a new Rank 4 combat enchantment!

Well now at least you can pick the visual individually from the effect, maybe you like one ;-) I do!

@@RainerNW I dunno. The red mist one is OK, so a black, cloudy Shadow effect might ne OK for a Rogue Assassin, sneaking in the darkness! But wil these things be Consumed On Use, or can we move them between characters, like the enchants? {:-:-:}

Speaking for the "Buffoons," Armour Enchants in particular can be used to enhance and change the standard appearance items to offer more choice in how you look. I'd certainly feel less of a twat running round with the Souforged effect rather than having a bunch of floating eyeballs, or candles flying round my head, or rats scurrying out from my feet. But I'm a buffoon, so what do I know?

Cosmetic, which has been my biggest AD generator in the game. Easily have made 200m off of transmutes.

Pointless for some - they might become more interesting in the new system because it's separated from the effect!
