The constant-speed governor works together with electronic fuel injection (EFI) to keep the engine of the X590 operating at an optimum speed, responding instantaneously as the mower transitions from light to heavy mowing. When the load increases, the engine speed on the X590 remains constant, thus cutting mowing time and grass down to size.
The X590 Tractor is powered by a high-performance iTorque Power system, and comes equipped with easy-to-use Twin Touch foot pedals, hydraulic lift and power steering.

I like how the video was made. The view of the low angle, front and behind was well done. It gives me a good view of the tractor and what the components look like in motion. There are no videos out there that show this. Thanks for the video.

A fine looking machine. I can't make myself pay $8k for something that won't dig a posthole or pull a bushhog though. Good call showing the mower going up and down the hills. Few people live on a 0 grade golf course but nobody ever shows a steepish hill. Nice video.

Nice. I bought a 2017 x590 (54" deck) this year---decision was helped along by your Grampa's 2015 x590 vid. Great machine. Thanks for posting.

Are you able to cut grass when you go in reverse?

Yes when I press the yellow 'RIO' button left of the wheel. I hate that and the seat sensor which cuts off the motor when you lift up form the seat. Otherwise great machine.

There are a couple of you tube videos that show how to "upgrade" the RIO & seat switch features. My 14 yr. old series 2000 shaft drive Cub Cadet "had" the same issues when it was new.

I was having issues cutting in reverse with mine. My switch RIO switch was not working when lifting it. I replaced it and it works fine.

I have this same exact John Deere it cuts so well and with the 24 hp you go faster than most lawn mowers.But if your cutting and going really fast then the blade will stop.

wow, that's a pretty good hill. I've heard the John Deere lawn tractors are not good hill climbers but that one did ok.

How do you tell the difference betwix a LAWN TRACTOR & a GARDEN TRACTOR ? A garden tractor uses lugs to hold on the rear wheels. It needs those for pulling. !

Did it come with the rear hdap tires? On the deer site it looks like only the 54” x590 does.

Hi, he upgrades every year. He will sell his old one, then get a new one.

True, but with the garbage out today you will have problems with all of them in a very short time. Buying a new one every one or two years is the only way to avoid problems. Better yet---hire a guy to cut your lawn.
