Thank you sir for your kind words! Regarding your query, the tuning box industry for diesel has been established and now is moving towards petrol cars. The tuning box offers 4 different modes (or 2, if you go for a lower version), Stock, Power + Economy, Insane Power, Pure Economy. The modes do exactly what their names are. Tuning boxes for petrols are not yet quite reliable, so i would encourage you to go for a remap. Remapping the ecu does not have switchable modes and most of them increase the power and economy, though you can opt for whatever suits you best! but if you want the ability to switch modes, then i would suggest to wait for the tuning box to properly establish themselves in the petrol market! I will state some sites to visit, do check if they have anything in store for your needs! The one for my xuv 500 diesel costs around 15000 to 30000, depending on the variant and increases bhp to around 170 (from 140) in the insane power mode and the economy figures rise from around 13 to 14 (city) to around 17, though the engine feels a bit sluggish in 'eco' mode! Lower side walls means better cornering ability and not always ride and when you are going over bumps the lower side wall will surely affect you and the bumps will enter the cabin!✌️

Sir, everything has its own advantages and disadvantages. The Aftermarket Diesel Tuning Box I talked about has A key just like a car key fob and it has 4 modes - Stock, power, power+economy and lastly economy. The basic principle they follow is that the rewire the car's ECU [Which Is A Car's Brain] and tell it to enable the car to breathe faster with more air intake, and to allow more fuel into the engine combustion chamber to provide a better fuel to air ratio which automatically improves the power [ Only Till a limit ]. The do the reverse to attain higher fuel economy. Companies have spent years designing these products and they have a far better knowledge about engines than you or me, and it definitely wont blow up due to a bit of hampering into the cars ECU. Sure, it has its own risks, [ like it will void the company's warranty on the car ] but companies are aware of this and the engineer engines accordingly. The new xuv has 155hp, upgraded from 140hp on the old one. Do you think the company has made a all new engine only for that? No sir, the engine just has a higher state of tune [ in other words, mahindra has told the ECU of the new xuv to produce more power ] and the engine remains the same. I do not want to demoralise you, but if there is a chance of the engine blowing up, the product would not have been successful at all. And besides, did you ever hear a engine blowing up due to a tuning box or a remap? The top class engineers that car manufacturers hire and spend years of research and money also know that some people want more, and always leave a margin for aftermarket mods. The old xuv and the new xuv have absolutely no difference in sound quality. Its just that mahindra has moved the tweeters on the A panel instead of the dash. Life is certainly not a video game and we should personally experience things rather than believing what others say. Self fulfilment is of up most importance and hope you have no more doubts in you mind. Good Day ✌

The suspension is a now tuned towards a bit softer side for comfort but the is too unstable around corners and doesn't give great confidence at triple digit speeds.

Techie Rannjodh XUV 500 was never meant to be driven hard and fast, it is more of a steady cruiser. Have seen some XUVs driven fast on highways but can’t sustain with a sedan for long. Good presentation, but overall don’t agree with aftermarket add on suggestions. They are not reliable and can ditch you without warning. Stay safe.

You are right. But technically it is not DRL. It is just a position function. DRL has to be ON when the engine is ON. XUV 500 is launching with DRL first time in india. Yes, You are right. Mahindra calls it a "parking lamp" rather than a DRL and it is not very bright too!
