Its too cold to ride it but we captured the road trip of driving to Montana to pick it up and get our first in depth look at it.

One time I drove down tho Maryland 8 hours away from were i live to pick up a 2020 zy 65 in September and I still have to this day and I have had it for about 4 dirt bike seasons now

Ya he really is! But he's going to have this bike a long time and if I get $2k plus in 12 years after my youngest rides it then I really wont' end up paying much for it. So for now....lucky boy!

My 9 year olds 1st bike was a yz 85. I got a 2006 for free in pieces and then we rebuilt it. It screams and he loves it.

Nice 85 I am just about to get a 85 to, I bet your son is going to love that bike. Also if he can touch on his own he can ride that thing because you don’t really use your legs in motocross.👍

You make a good point once you are in motion it doesn’t matter as much. He got to try it and can touch well enough to stop and go. But he can’t start it on his own yet. But he loves it and I gotta admit it hauled me around real fast too!

That’s Insane! Canadian prices are minimum $6,800! A used 2000-2010 is average $3,700! If we want to get a new one we have to preorder for next spring due to Covid 🙄

We got my brother a 125 in Kentucky what was supposed to be like 8 or 9 hours drive we made it a 6 or 7 hour drive

8 is typically my limit. It has to be a rare vehicle or something special to justify longer. My dad drove 12 hours once for a SS camaro but it wasn't an older one so l don't think I would do it looking back

Yes it is. But he has really good throttle control and it won’t have that down low hit like the 150R would so I am ok trusting him not to whisky throttle it!

How fast does this bike go? I wanna try to upgrade the speed to go around 80-90 mph if it's possible.

I mean it’s probably possible if you are light enough and tuck low. I mean it’s as much peak HP as a CRF250l. But these chassis aren’t built for that kind of speed and needed stability. If you end up doing it dress for the slide as they say just in case!

No two strokes can't stand the cold they perform well when it around 70 degrees Yamaha yz 85cc are great bikes i have 2 250 cc 2 strokes l luv riding my small bikes there so funny have 3 85cc bike's turned 2 of them into a super mini two yz 85cc turned too a big bore kit now its a 105cc super mini pr2 racing motor its super quick it will out run a 125cc than I turned the other yz 85cc too a 112 super mini the same way I done the other one its awesome wants too stand up in every gear it has than turned the kx 85cc into a 112 super mini awesome two strokes then I have a rn250cc and a kx 250cc before you no it over 3 thousand dollars in just one bike but the power of them are unreal both have racing heads one gold and one blue

Ya they could have blended it better, now that I have looked at it more it is kinda off. Not a deal breaker but with all their resources and design teams they could have cleaned it up a touch

It’s a fairly large upgrade. If you can control your throttle you’ll be ok but it’s a substantial jump

We just went to South Dakota or pick mine up. Well we didn’t get the same deal, the bike was used, but the guy who bought it got it for his son and it was to big for him so they brought it back. Bought in December brought it back in January. And now we have it. It’s really fun. Keep doing what you do.

He's a little over 4'8", but Tyler isn't much shorter and couldn't ride it if he wanted too because Liam has pretty long legs

I have a ttr 125 le and it’s a little big for me. I am 5’1 so I think the yz will be way to big for you because it is bigger then my bike

You'd be ok with it. Theres nothing wrong with having some extra leg length depending on the type of riding you're doing. I'm going to leave Liam on the 85 for awhile before we get a 125.

He has long legs his younger brother isn't that much shorter than him but his legs are shorter and you can see it when he sits on the bike

...He's amazing on it but he also had a bad crash recently, I posted it a couple weeks ago and for it being his 3rd or 4th time on the bike he was great but the faster you go the higher the risk

He's handling the power really well so far, one big get off but it wasn't because he isn't controlling the power correctly. But ya...he doesn't need anymore for a long time

Oh that sucks. Hopefully the break wasn’t bad. I have never broken a bone. Done a lot of stupid stuff but no breaks. Been awhile though. I am sure I would break one now as I am getting older

@@DadsDomain yea it was a pretty bad break. Breaking it didn’t hurt that bad but it still hurt a lot. The part that hurt the most was getting the cast on.
