I’m sad that Bakugan Legends was cut short for gen 3. The majority of toys are reprints and the anime only has 13 episodes. There are only a few gen 3 Bakugan I’m interested in, but who knows how I’ll feel when they actually release. As someone who got into Bakugan during Battle Brawlers (the first season) I think the Battle Planet anime is actually good, especially Armored Alliance. I wish more fans gave it a chance.

What I think is that they should totally make new rules so we could use all bakugan even the old gen so it would be actually fun and actually feel like bakugan came to life again.

The og Leonidas and Omega Leonidas from the old DS game are still some of my favorite simple but beautiful

So far I'm pretty hopeful for Gen 3, because if Gen 2 was taught us anything, it's that Spin Master have learned from their mistakes, and hey, these are basically Beyblade Bakugan, so it can't be that bad! I currently don't really like the designs though, Dan looks weird to me at the moment, and the toys themselves look very prototypey and plasticity, but this is just the beggining, and overtime it'll probably get better. All I can say for certain is that Gen 3 is going to be VERY interesting

Beykugan, let it brawl!! I had to! But I'm hyped to see what gen 3 has in store! I wondered if they would use the bakucyclone / bakuturbine gimmick again and sure enough!

To be perfectly honest it does kind of blow that they're rebooting it again. My favourite aspect of the new gen was the tcg, but knowing that they'll never pick it up again most likely is kinda sad. On the bright side the new logo does look pretty damn good. Plus the actual designs of the cards and packaging that were shown in the video are looking sleek and crisp. So all hope is not lost I guess. (tbh I say all of this but I'll still be happy as long as they keep giving me over the top cool shiz)

The new re-boot has me feeling bittersweet. I’m gonna miss this generation of bakugan, but I’m still optimistic for what the new gen has in store, and I’d rather have a new gen than bakugan just ending any day!

I remember being obsessed with Bakugan as a kid and I think this might have rekindled it.

As a kid, I was really into Bakugan battle brawlers, and I got into it to play the game. I was happy to see it come back with a fully functional TCG for Gen 2. The main reason I got into Bakugan again as an adult was that my brother and I decided to give it another chance because the only reviews I was hearing about for the new Bakugan were the toy battling game, which in my opinion didn’t seem all that interesting. But I was completely blown away by the new TCG for Gen 2 and that was my main reason for buying, and collecting Bakugan so I could play the TCG. I’m disappointed that the TCG isn’t going to be around anymore, but, Bakugan still has a special place in my childhood and I’m glad it’s continuing to live on.

I normally don't expect my Bakugan videos to have "the caretaker" as ost not complaining tho

“They aren’t printing these Bakugan in factions we haven’t already gotten” Two exceptions exist to that. Haos/Darkus Cyndeous x Skorporos, which is an entirely new fusion combo, and Pyrus/Haos Cloptor x Apollyon.

One good thing that came out of Bakugan Legends is that I finally managed to get a Drago X Tretorus (Diamond) and Nillious X Eenoch (Elemental), since in previous waves, the only way I could have gotten them was buying cases and arenas (we get very fractured releases here in NZ, sometimes missing entire waves)...

When I first saw stuff about the threeboot, I felt my heart sink. I was feeling disappointed that I never got to actually play the TCG during its tenure, thanks to both the pandemic and having no stores that had tournaments. But, I have hopes that Gen 3 is another step into making Bakugan the best it can be.

I am excited to see that the new Gate Cards and Training Sets look like the original concept design for "Battle Brawlers" from 2003 from before it was even called "Bakugan". 👀 But honestly from what we've seen so far is not all bad. A little saddening because yeah G2 and the TCG is gone. And the whole "Beyblade Bakugan" was funny at first but became annoying quickly after people kept calling the new special attack bakugan that.

I saw the evangelion bakugan and omg I can't escape it, it follows me everywhere I only watched it for the first time this year and since then I haven't been able to escape it, I was at a 100 Gecs concert on sunday and people were wearing evangelion shirts and jackets and someone a had unit 01 onezie

My concern about gen 3 is bakugan being made of manually opening parts like gen 1, something that I am not into. I preferred it when the entire bakugan opened up automatically like in gen 2.

well thks for that! hadn't bought any bakugan for more than ten years until two hours ago. Picked up this weird ball cut in two halfs, and was really intrigued : no G force anywhere ? Two part custom possibilities ? All was very confusing, but also very intriguing. Now thks to you, only the curiosity and collector's excitement remain ^^

I just hope they come up with something that can stop the gate cards from flying all over the place on the table when the Bakugan are Beyblading

the return of the bind system/swappable bakugan is really neat, but the beyblade aspects… im not so sure. maybe it’ll change once i get them in hand, but from a distance i am not a fan. conversely, i am very much a fan of fusion bakugan, so legends has been feeding me well. i only wish we got to see more of it.

i do look forward to what Gen 3 of bakugan has to offer, the first one i will get is the pyrus dragonoid because i love dragonoid, adding the bind system from baku tech is really neat for different combinations, also adding the whole beyblade gimmick to bakugan is interesting as well, overall 10/10 for the video jett

I think the sad part about the reboot earlier was that, at least where I live, no stores actually carried the cards for whatever reason, and the singular local game store near me closed down as things were just starting to take off, so I never got...even a singular chance to experience it really. But, I'm ready to face this new attempt and see where it goes.

I'm glad the Bay Blade part comes off so you can roll it, and the way you can split apart and attach different Bakugan is a cool idea, I will say that. Kid stuff reboots all the time, I know this well, but I'm still scared. Maybe when these things come out and I get to buy one and hold it in my hand I will have a change of heart, but I really hope we get a new TV show out of this

Bro, when beyblade meets bakugan.

I was disappointed we'd be moving forward and unable to use all the plastic we'd collected up until this point, but after thinking about it, I think this is for the best. This is probably the best thing that could happen for G2, as while we've gotten game pieces for the past few years, we haven't gotten cards in a long while (apart from the new Bakugear), so the TCG has stagnated, but this puts G2 squarely in the hands of the fans. If there's enough support behind it, we can get fan-made sets to respark some life into the card game aspect of G2. I've seen the work the Transformers TCG community has put in since that game was abandoned by WotC, and some of their stuff is amazing. As for new game pieces, it would be easy to make Epic Character Cards for old underused cards (with actual effects!), design new cards for molds that weren't printed in certain factions, and with some work it should be possible to create G2 character cards for the new G3 Bakugan. Heck, with 3D printing, I wouldn't be surprised if we got new fan molds, either. Considering how unsupported the game has been, this may be the best thing for its longevity and legacy if fans are willing to put in the work. As for G3, I think it has a lot of potential, but is suffering from some year one roughness. The idea of having an entire series of splitting Bakugan, where you can have a top character/stat piece and a bottom performance piece is very cool, and I think given some time can craft something absolutely amazing, but we're just not there yet. They're definitely throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks, and as toy production typically takes a nine months to a year (based on accounts I've heard from Hasbro), we probably won't see any responses to fan feedback on what's been selling until G3 reaches that 2-year mark.

Awesome and weird stuff coming for Gen 3!! I like how you addressed the 'elephants in the room' like how SM teased us with unreleased bakugans and toy waves from evolutions that we never saw in stores. Maybe they'll surface in a year or two? Very strange distribution these days...

I got one of the new Bakugan gen 3 today and im LOVING it. The only weird thing is the Special attack system but everything else is awsome.

I played bakugan as a child and I was just thinking about how they could revamp the game, not knowing anything, and I was thinking arenas and beyblades and they actually did it! I can't believe they official tcg took out the rolling part of bakugan, thats like half the fun of the game. As a kid I played with knockoffs in play as card captures and we placed all of our cards in a grid to increase battle chances and randomness into gameplay, I feel that's what the updates bringing in and solidifying into proper counterplay on the field, not just in hand.

things I'm afraid of , 1. Bad backlash of the new coming toys 2. Dragos next form is named titanium, like legacy was named at its final season

Heya, 4 months after this video So least where I am at the new Gen 3 is just coming onto shelves after a massive inventory clearance sale for legends and Geogan. The toys so far are only in single packs, and are displayed like the pokemon cards of old where there was cardboard stand with a dozen or so stood up I have only 1 and that's the newest Nillious. I have noticed a "Titianium Dragonoid" as well but I didn't get it

Bakugan is a wild franchise. I'm excited to see where it's going. But also slightly annoyed that they may be doing the whole start over switch up process again. In that old bakugan likely won't be usable in the modern game. But if they did make all legacy bakugan playable in this reboot... OOOOOOOH!!! That'd be NUTS.

I personally aged out of the battle toy genre in about 2004 but up until then I was hard into some beyblade. That being said I am home from work with a stomach bug and have been thoroughly enjoying this channel.

This was an interesting video. I first heard about Gen 3 from Haru Ren then watched your video. I'm also been a long time fan since the original series and watched Baku Tech as well. Generally, I love all that Bakugan has to offer, and the beyblade gimmick is not as bad as it seems as you pointed out. Plus I'm a beyblade fan already, and this is not the first time Spin Master had beyblade mechanics in Bakugan. The bind system coming back is also nice, Baku Tech is so underrated with it's mechanics, and it's sad it never made it outside of Japan. As for mechtanium surge I actually have mobile assaults and battle suits and Dragonoid Destroyer. Never had a problem with those, and still function really well to this day. The new Dan design looks interesting. The reboot show had it's pros and cons like the legacy series, but managed to leave a lasting impression. I'm looking forward to what Spin Master has in mind for the future. That just reminded me that beyblade is also going through same, the Burst anime only has one season left I think, and the manga has ended already.

Im not going to lie? Just tried it today, only ever played gen1 before. This reboot is honestly really fucking fun!!! I legit enjoyed the hell out of it with just a training set and not an actual built deck based on the bakugan i choose, and this is honestly a really fun time!!!! Seems like everything is comign back for me. Beyblade x is also really sick!!

Hey wanted to ask is all, is this Bakugan of today only targeted at a loyal players only? Nothing i know it sounds ridiculous but I just can't find any of them at our local toy shops here...

i dont have a problem with reboots, but i think maybe we should have had a bit of a break a year or 2 before introducing a new reboot, given how it took this long for Bakugan to return and then having another reboot almost right off the bat

So something I noticed about the gen 3 "combine" bakugan from videos from people who got them early is that the bottom half, or the half with the magnet, is that they are all manual parts, which on one hand, kinda sucks, but on the other hand, that means most the bottom halves are gonna be mostly solid plastic, which means that a good amount of "combos" are gonna be magnet heavy, which means SPIN SHOTS AND CURVE SHOTS, BABY. LET'S GO!!! But this "combine" system worries me a bit because it might limit bakugan designs, one of my personal favourite bakugan from Gen 2 is core Fangzor, not just because its good at curve/spin shots, but also because it was good at blocking if you aimed it right, and I don't know if you can make design like fangzor with this new system... Just a little side note: if we do get a new show and new continuity I really hope the Show will actually follow the rules of the game instead of just being "Kaiju fights with life points."

The new bakugan seem to have factions based off their species/ animal type. There appears to be dragon, mammals/animals, sea life, bugs and flying/bird. There’s also the goofy red face one, which I think is for the battle brawler’s bakugan.

I hope that there’s some kind of conversion system for Gen 2 bakugan for the Gen 3 system, and if not then I hope Gen 3 is getting proper support in the tcg/game scene

Now that I think about it, if the blade parts aren't really necessary, this is basically reachable and close format to bakugan with the bind system, so I say, Cmere with the Gen 3 bakugan

I personally can't wait to get my hands on some of these, as the concept of being able to take a Bakugan apart and mix-and-match is amazing! It amazes me how they can take something like a small transforming marble and split it in half without any issues. Truly why I love Bakugan, they can be really creative, and the reboot has shown me that. I did start collecting during Bakugan: Battle Planet so I'm kinda sad to see this version of the franchise go.

I'll be honest, I really like the spinning motif. While I never played the game, I always felt you could cheese battles by just tossing your bakugan to the card you want for a quick win. This method ensures you have to be strategic and think about the spin of your bakugan to hit the desired target. Plus, they've gone full beyblade, and I love it.

The fact that is ever changing makes it dificult to build a community, i got interest into the bakugan tcg but for me the continues adding of gimmicks is just overwhelmed. I don't how much it cost around the globe, but those toys are well marked where i live, it's not easy to keep up with that quantity of gimmicks, and even if I made the effort i would be frustated to just rebooting the game and everything that i collected stopped being relevant. Just my 2 cents. Improving is necessary and support and reinforce of new bakugans, new cards is needed, but rebooting is kinda extreme, but like you said reboot is just a constant.
