Thank you all so so very much for the kind words and concern in the comments. I did just lose my Doberman / Leonardo (as seen in a few previous vids) the night before filming this vid. It took everything to stand in front of this camera and make this vid. He was my first dog, and a dang good one at that! I miss him so much. Again sorry for my lack of excitement or energy in this vid.

Sorry for your loss Techne. I know that pain well. As far as the headset, looks great, if I hadn't already bought a set last year I'd be all over these. The mic sounded great. I still might get them anyway if I can get a good sale or promotion, I loved my wired Blackshark V2s.

Sorry for your lost 😢. I have these since you did a review 2 years ago. Your final thoughts are spot on for me. Saying that I’m gonna just spend the extra on the Turtle Beach stealth pros. Thanks for being honest in every review you do and for that I’ll always support you.

Great overview, cheers. Been using the old V2Pro daily since January 2021 and absolutely love it, the noise cancellation wipes out any fans/AC I have running and even cuts out noise from my filthy vaping habit. Comfort is top notch, have worn mine for many marathon sessions. New mic really sounds fantastic, will grab this if my old set ever dies.

After all that years, i guess i found a new headset to buy. Before that, I had like good headphones plus microphone but with that battery life and mic quality, yes its my new main. Thx mate.

I frickin love my Blackshark V2 Pro. I'm happy they upgraded it, but mostly disappointed they didn't go full V3. Hopefully they have a V3 Pro in the works.

I like mic better on the 2023’s but noticed the software adjustments/settings more noticeable on the originals. Did anyone else notice this?

i really hope this can be the push to headset mics, that's been needed for years. I used to use an external mic, but recently found out i really just enjoy the simplicity of putting your headset on, adn you're ready. I will 100% be getting this headset over the Blackshark v2 i got currently.

The frequency of these headphones is 12 - 28000, right? But are these numbers when connected via usb or also wirelessly? It happened to me with the HyperX cloud flight that these sounded a little louder when connected.

I am sorry for loss. Good review and glad that Razer made the mild upgrade, but getting rid of the 3.5mm jack is a pass for me. For the price, bluetooth should have been simultaneous. I am going to hold on to the original V2.

Been looking at your videos to decide on a wireless headset. That microphone seems MILES ahead of any other one youve shown. Maybe you cannplay with software with other the microphones but this one seems like the winner for me.

It was mentioned nowhere but if you search about it, you will find that the 2023 version (still) has noise issues. So if you just connect it, and dont listen to anything you will hear a very very silent but noticable white noise. This was the reason I had to return the headset. If you enable the feature of hearing yourself, the noise will increase drastically and you will also notice a small very high beeping sound. (I have to admit that you wont hear it, if your ears are a little damaged or your older) But if you hear it, this is a complete dealbreaker. You will find a lots of things about it in the web. Sad, because I really liked the look and quality of the headset.

how does the mic compare to the Corsair HS80? It would be better if this 2023 version used a USB type-c dongle instead of bluetooth

This headset is nice looking, especially in white 🤩🤤👍. Mic quality I think is within a pinch, as good as the Corsair HS80 🥰💪which is amazing!🤯. Having a larger battery imo is worth it for those loooong gaming sessions …. And when you forget to charge it after, you get another looooong session available to you 🔋🪫. Razer did extremely well with the 2023 Blackshark 2

Please review the Sony MDR-MV1 and the Audeze MM-100, I believe it uses same driver as the Maxwell.

I bought the older versions back in July and you're able to use the newer software on them. Obviously the 2023's are the way to go if you're needing a new set. Razer rocks !! 😎

Do anyone else notice white noise all the time, when the headset is turnet on? I can't figure out how resolve it. I read something about the audio-knop being the problem, because it only adjusts the windows-sound and not the headset seperatly...

Question: when using the mic, do the headphones remain in high quality (44100Hz or more), or do they go down to "phone quality" (like under 10kHz or around there)? I find that the most annoying thing on my Sony XM1000s: if I start using the mic, their headphone quality goes down the drain… :X

THANK YOU for actually examining the sidetone feature and confirming its quality. So many reviews gloss over the side tone features of headsets without spending any time in it... and those headsets are terrible for it.

@@Mark-ns3jo It's really good! You have some room to adjust the sidetone volume. There is more background hiss, the closer you get to the max sidetone volume. I put it a little below the max so you get a good amount of sidetone without the background noise.

this headset is SUPER cozy however it does hurt the top of my head after a couple hours into gaming. i did have the wired blackshark v2 before and it was so incredibly light. the mic also sounds the same as the wired one which i guess is pretty nice considering it’s wireless but i heard a mic test from someone else and it sounded better than a stand up mic stock
