It’s a great little scanner. Always the first one I grab.

In my opinion, Autel and Launch are the brands to look for. They are stable tools and get constant updates. The frustrating part is that there are so many models to choose from. This is mostly because different distributors all want a unique version of their own.

I wish I could remember, but it’s been too long since it went out to recycling.

I decided to search a 992 911 (2020 MY) Here is a list of the special functions available for that car: Reset adaptive cruise control personalization In the airbag module, it can teach combination sensor, teach reversible, belt tensioners, teach seat occupancy detection Surround view camera calibration In the DME, it can set adaptations, adjust electronic adjuster for turbo charger (bypass flap), delete adaptations, injectors, ready status, short tests, tank, leakage test On the front end electronics, it can teach flap servo motors In the Instrument cluster, it can display warning event memory, and clear if necessary. It can reset maintenance interval, and set the total mileage. It can calibrate the night vision system In the PCM/CVR, it can deactivate production mode and it can reset to factory settings In the Porsche vehicle tracking system, it can teach driver cards In the rear spoiler, it can activate the service position and it can teach the rear spoiler In the remote communications unit, it can deactivate flight mode and it can do a PVTS function test Finally, in the tiptronic transmission control. It can do an oil filling service.

Thanks, I’m up for a review of an Autel. There are no subscriptions with this tool. They do updates though, first two years are free. You can still use it without updates, save some money.

Yes, it has a bigger screen, bigger battery, more functions, topology map, etc…

The biggest difference is that the pro3 Ace is newer and has the new DBSCar VII connector. That will allow you to communicate on CAN FD networks and (if you get the upgrade) do DoIP sessions online.

Too many versions for sure, every distributor has their own specs. This one does not include Tesla, but there are some that do.

@@ToolDemos Thank you very much for the answer. I ended up buying this same model but for Europe. The only thing I didn't like much was the internals, I checked them and hardware is kind of very old (2018) so it's confusing they call it: NEW 2024. Anyway, awsome device!

Is there any that are bluetooth that do not have yearly upgrade costs? If I don't get another vehicle, do I have to still upgrade? I can spend a little more money for a better one. @@KelleyLeach the Autel MK808 is a classic, well known and reliable. It’ll get you what you want under $500. Updates are mostly to add newer cars.
