The Nike Air Zoom Spiridon(Spirídon) was named after Spiridon Louis(Σπυρίδων Λούης). Spiridon “Spyros” Louis was the first modern age Olympic Marathon winner at the 1896 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. Yes I'm Greek 😅 and so is the brand's name and a ton of model and patent names.

In 2003 I didnt have my current shoe size yet 😂 so the shoes I had back then wouldnt fit anymore I was probably close, size wise.. but the last time I had a size change I was 28 or something. I would like these, but in a different color 😮

Had to grab these up. Worked at Nike back then we these came out. And ran in both predecessors the Zoom Citizen before the spiridon cage and zoom Miler after the Spiridon cage as well. Glad to see these 2000+ runners are returning back as a lifestyle. Good video and nostalgia.

It’s a 2000 trend shoe that doesn’t cut it like the many popular models. The gap in the sole midfoot area looks weird.

Don’t understand Nike’s logic sometimes. These will end up in outlets. They have such a deep catalog of runners and bringing these back isn’t going to benefit their struggling bottom line.

If they bring these in the right colorways I actually see these replace the Vomero 5 in popularity.. just looking at what people actually wear at the moment, these fit the trend better, lookwise.
