Significantly refreshed for 2025, the Nissan Kicks subcompact crossover is maturing but has yet to entirely abandon the low-cost/fun-size personality attributes that defined the original. Featuring entirely new styling inside and out, the Kicks’ exterior has evolved into a more modern interpretation of last year's model with bolder, yet less busy, front and rear fasciae. Although a hint of the original profile remains, the redesigned Kicks is an inch or two larger in every dimension, translating into 1.7 inches more front shoulder room, 1.9 inches more shoulder room, and 0.9 inches more knee room in the rear. The practical cabin gets new infotainment options, including an available 12.3-inch center screen (a 7.0-inch display is standard), and the interior design is updated to match the SUV's exterior aesthetic. Critically, a new 141-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder steps in for the previous model’s frequently strained 1.6-liter engine, and all-wheel drive joins the options list for the first time. So equipped, it’s now a more natural competitor to the Mazda CX-30 and Volkswagen Taos.
What's New for 2025?
Comprehensively redesigned for 2025, the new Kicks is larger, features new styling inside and out, and features a more powerful four-cylinder engine with available all-wheel drive. The suspension now provides 8.4 inches of ground clearance-up from 7.0 inches in the previous model-to make minor off-road excursions easier. Nissan’s Zero Gravity seats, formerly only found in the front, are now standard in front and back, and the top SR trim gets Pro Pilot lane-keeping assist, a first for any Kicks model.
The price of the 2025 Nissan Kicks is expected to start around $23.000 and go up to $26.000 depending on the trim and options.

While pricing for the 2025 Kicks won’t be available until closer to its mid-to-late summer on-sale date, it’s a good bet pricing will increase slightly, while still remaining in entry-level territory. Based on that, we’re sticking with the mid-tier SV as the Kicks of choice. Note that all-wheel drive is optional on all three trims.
