When I was a kid in the Texas panhandle, you could find those old plows in the middle of dirt mounds in the fields. They got buried by the dust storms and were free for the taking of you wanted to dig them out. You might see the end of a handle sticking out, but if you found a mound on the prairie, there was something under it!

Unfortunately in South Dakota it's a rare thing to see plows this big in that era, most farmers used 2-3 bottom plows so they are plentiful 👍

From the looks I would say 1930s plow. I'm amazed it still has the old MM patina on it.

Thanks Chris, should be a nice addition. Do you by chance know what size plow would go behind my 1900 FWA? I'd like to start looking for one for that as well
@ThatOliverGuyChris6 ай бұрын
@@kylechrist I'd say a 6 bottom would be a good match for most ground, it should pull a 5 in even the toughest soil. I'm trying to remember if that has 3 point hitch.
@kylechrist6 ай бұрын
@@ThatOliverGuyChris it does not, bareback tractor. No PTO, no 3pt
@ThatOliverGuyChris6 ай бұрын
@@kylechrist A 4440 or 4441 Oliver pipe plow would be a good match size and age wise. They were a 4 bottom pull type that could be expanded up to 6 bottoms.
