Excel has a new AI function that allows you to use prompts and get the result right within a cell using simple formulas.
It's like having CHATGPT inside a cell in Excel.
In this video, I will show you how to get this new function (LABS.GENERATIVEAI) Into Excel, how to configure it, and then how to properly use it to get some meaningful work done from it.
While you can use it to generate text like writing a poem or a short story, you can also use it for data cleaning and data extraction.

Can we get it to do complex comparisons between tables and extract data based on criteria supplied?

It might work, but you will have to test it out. Might also take some prompt refinement. Try it with a smaller dataset, and it works fine, you can use it for a larger dataset. But keep in mind that AI results are not precise, so there is always a chance of some deviation
