Next time you paint furniture, try Farmhouse Paint. It’s another chalk paint type brand, but it’s known for being durable. I have tons of furniture pieces I’ve painted and they have all help up well for years with my 3 kids, dogs and no chips so far. I love all your makeover videos. I can’t wait to see your porch

We also recently did a garment rack for costumes. SUCH an improvement over stuffing them all in the toy chest (and picking them all in the floor to dig through and Mom putting them away constantly!)

I have beach towels same type of fabric more colorful they are amazing for travel mine came with little bags you roll them up and stick them inside when you need to bring towels on a vacation best thing I ever spent my money on for travel hands-down

We don't have a yard yet but I LOVE the sound of the trampoline attachments! I never even heard of such a thing. 🌻 I like most of this list, though I'm still getting plenty of items from Amazon that are lied about. But that's clothing and I try to stick to brands that I know work. I'm big against certain materials with high phatalates and VOCS, Amazon actually has some real wool rugs too that seem neat.

I have used a lot of chalk paint... mostly Annie Sloan. While I love the colors options, I did not love that the wax did not hold up over time. I have had more success with the poly. Hope your projects go well!

Careful with water on the trampoline and adding balls or toys because all can cause broken bones/injuries but yes sounds fun!

I know I'm going against the norm here but I don't like really big, thick towels. They don't absorb water as well and they take tons of space in the washer and dryer.

The damages that you show on the Annie Sloan paint + wax seem to come from the original surface. Was it sealed with something else? I do not know this specific Annie Sloan paint, but I used her paints many years ago when I was still in France, and it was only working on porous surfaces, like wood which wouldn’t have any finish on it. So if the furniture which received this paint had some kind of finish, even if you sanded it a little, it won’t work. Doing touch-ups is not going to solve the problem. In general, water based paints only stay on porous surfaces. If you don’t want to strip your piece of furniture, you will have to sand it to make the surface smoother and use an oil based paint. It’s the only way. I can tell you because I have to do it on one of my tables which has exactly the same damages as on your piece of furniture. And it’s because I used a water based paint on a already varnished surface. I sanded the varnish but it was not enough. Now, I think that I will just strip the top of my table, where it is damaged, and paint the whole thing with some oil based paint. Water on oil never works, water on alcohol based or on shellac doesn’t work either.
