do you stick the battery tester always on your battery and never remove it, or do you use it occasionally and is it not always connected during driving?

It's always on the vehicle, unless it's not your daily driver then I wouldn't suggest it.

GPS tracking is through the phone, not the device so what the app will show is the phone location, not the device location.

I would HIGHLY recommend that you read the privacy policy before using this app, there is *_no way_* they need to collect the information they do just to monitor a car battery.

Can it input the battery CCA rate? If not, how does it know the accurate SOH?

It has no idea of the CCA rate. I am guessing the SOC is a guess also. I just bought one of these and I am not impressed. It reads .6 of a volt low. So it is off on everything and there seems no way to calibrate it. Plus the fine print says they now own everything on your phone all data are belong to china. lol. I installed it on an ancient old phone I had laying around and it worked. I did that with the software before I ordered the unit. If not for it working on my old surplus phone that has everything erased, I would never have ordered it because everything on my new phone is not ever going to belong to china, fuck that.

It measures the voltage and the soc is based on that.
