We first made the 2.5-hour drive to Riverbanks Zoo and Garden in Columbia in 2016, and we've renewed our annual passes every year since then. We visit often so we were incredibly excited to hear that the new Darnall W and Susan F Boyd Aquarium & Reptile Conservation Center opened in March 2023. The 20,000-square-foot animal care facility features rare and endangered species, immersive floor-to-ceiling habitats, and brings conservation to the forefront of the guest experience.
In this vlog we explore the new center and check out some of our other favorite spots in the zoo including the Sky High Safari and Gorilla Base Camp as we share what's to come in the planned Phase Two of Bridge to the Wild transformational expansion of Riverbanks’ footprint.
