The Pablo reissues are a curious choice. The originals sounds amazing, are in plentiful supply and are cheap here in the UK.

No surprise that it takes Mike of the In Groove to solve the mystery of Pablo records for me. You see after decades of collecting I just last month came across a vast collection of Pablo labeled jazz albums at a local record store. Never heard of this label. Apparently the owner bought a collection from a former radio executive. He collected mostly jazz and many were on this Pablo label. The owner knew nothing of this label but assured me they sounded great. 👍. I bought a few and yes they sound great. 😊. Now I own a few more , all big jazz names, all sound very detailed.

Gotta admit I am tempted to buy that all-analog, Kevin Gray-cut Electric Warrior even though I have two nice 70s US pressings and still need the original UK. Am I really going to own four copies of that album at some point? Yes, of course I will. I am also interested in the all-analog Are You Experienced? Is there also a $20 all-analog Axis: Bold As Love? That I would be obligated to buy since I do not have a single copy of it. I picture the Antidote record sounding like the woman singing the "Oil Spill" song in Bob's Burgers, haha. I wish Back In Black was on "limited edition black vinyl." Love to see those Roy Wood and Kinks records on the side.

I actually compared my AJA OG US AB1006 issue with the QRP UHRQ45 and although the original is excellent, the QRP improves on that original. I compared them track by track. It's also pretty cool that Bernie Grundman had another shot at mastering and cutting this classic Steely Dan record.
