My dad would be a white leather loafer. Old school classy but modern day trashy! My mom would be a classic espadrille sandal. Timeless casual!

that "N" on the new balance shoes will always equate to "grandpa shoe" in my mind, it's like a mental block for me. I'll still watch your reviews though!

My dad would be the AJ1 Lost and Found. He was gone "Lost" when I was around 3 years old..and ..."Found" in my teenage years

Growing up in DC we were (early and mid 80's) 12 years old and older till this day wearing NB and never heard the dad, grandad thing until maybe 2020 and beyond. Basically when they became popular, also like stated before Im a washingtonian and know not what the rest of the us called them. Since '83-'84!!! Made in USA usually down half a size and the rest true to size.

Almost forgot. I do have 1906R Protection Pack with black midsole with cream upper. Absolute blast to have 'em.

It’s refreshing to see a breakdown of shoes that are widely available at your local retail store. Thanks for giving us applicable info to the shoes we can obtain in person. Not everyone can afford collab or ‘hype’ shoes. Plus, it keeps companies honest on the statements they make regarding tech or “premium” materials in moderate to budget friendly shoes. Thanks again Mr. and Mrs. Nightwing!
