It’s not even being thrown there is a co2 canister in the handle that shoots the knife out

no. its only possible to kill a standing idle or running straight from/to you. its IMPOSSIBLE to kill a enemy that slides or even just runs not straight to you

I had to sneak up behind a camping sniper to get a shot with it. It also has the worst bullet drop I've seen
