she was D sat upon a toadstool in the C wonderland of love
she had D one hand in her pocket and the C other hand in her glove
no G matter how she tried .. her D loyalties were torn
the C dark of night must come before you G see the light of dawn
when one Am caterpillar die, another C butterfly is born
G this is not the end, my friend, it’s Am just a new beginning

I heard a D scattering in the bushes, they were C scurrying for cover
the D hedgehog and the hare were there and C each one sought the other
no G matter the commotion, we all D covet for devotion
it’s a C natural phenomenon that is G driven by emotion
when one Am caterpillar die, another C butterfly is born
