Best priced Benchmade I've seen in a LONG time! $200 for Magnacut? Knice!

Thanks for the spread Zach! I know a few people do feel the packaging makes a nice touch, but for working knives, I don't see why they wouldn't save the customer that $20-40 on simpler packaging since these are working knives and the box is gonna be thrown or packed away and never thought of again unless it's sent back for warranty work.

2:00 That is a huge improvement over their standard packaging… 5:40 😂 I’m not bothered by the price of the Intersect. 12:35 I don’t see why that should be more than the Super Freek which requires milling of its handle rather than the injection molding of the grivory. The Super Freek is a better value than the Adira, IMO. 17:10 I think Benchmade should strive for a minimum of 62 HRC. The Undercurrent looks like a little bit like those dive knives with the flat tip-but are you talking about a dive knife specific to Benchmade? Thanks for the video, Zach.

I love that they went with CPM MagnaCut with this class. Only $20 difference between full size and mini Adira. Part of me would like to see a DLC blade option as well, but maybe that’s in the future. I love the flex in the Fishcrafter as well. As a someone who frequently goes fishing, this is a double major go! (Shoutout to Floss!!) Great breakdown as always, Zach!

I hope they continue to put out knives in Magnacut. It's my favorite balanced steel and I wanna see it in more models. Got a Mini Adamas in Magnacut and it's by far my favorite knife ever. I also hope Benchmade knocks their rockwell target for Magnacut up a little bit. Seeing 62+ consistently from them would be amazing.

This is the first BM release in years that I’ve been excited about. Adira is already on the way. I’m sure the fancy packaging caters to their market AND helps combat the rampant knockoffs. For me, the Strider ziplock is perfect.

Great video. I just got this knife and didn't relize I could move pocket clip to back of sheath. Nicest sheath I have seen. This is the perfect size edc fixed blade. I have these BM already. Mini carbon fiber bugout, ornage taggedout and northfork . I love all 3 but the northfork is super nice edc and that's my main edc. I sometime carry the tagged out but now will car the intersect and northfork or tagged out. My other edc is the spyderco pm2 black put model (para military 2) unreal knife. Bullet proof.

Whoa. ETA: no, there is no price decrease for clam pack Benchmade knives compared to the boxed knives. At least not via AAFES, which is the only place I've seen Benchmade clam pack.

The fishcrafter is kinda cool but it’s a pricey for a fish knife not for me the last thing I liked from Benchmade was the immunity but than again $300 🤔 so I passed on that as well.

I like most of this knife. The blade shape around the thumbstud is a bit awkward as well as the name. Adira means strong powerful woman in Hebrew which is probably fine for some things but seems out of place in the "water" line with other items like the Fishcrafter and Undercurrent. Would have made more sense as a small OTF or something for that name.

I had high hopes for this line to be relatively affordable but in recent Benchmade fashion, they went “overboard” with the marketing. I doubt I’ll be picking any up after seeing the packaging and how much it probably added to the cost. It feels like they added all this packaging to explain why they cost more than a regular blue class but in doing so added to the cost. I was also hoping to see the new axis lock system in these instead of the regular thin omega springs which I just wouldn’t trust in saltwater no matter how stainless they claim to be. The fixed blades and especially filet knives do look great but at those prices it’s getting close to custom maker prices where you can get better materials and a custom heat treat.

I'm not a fan of the color scheme. But I love the Intersect design in particular otherwise. And the sheath on that one is excellent for the way I'd EDC it, in a pass-through slot on a cargo pocket.

Sorry if you covered it…are the liners, axis, and hardware on the folders rust resistant as well? If not then I don’t know why anyone would legit call it the water series? The newer CLAs have magnacut and they aren’t part of the water series. Just because they have aqua colored plastic handles and magnacut doesn’t make them “water knives”. Benchmade over here charging outrageous prices for knives that aren’t even made for actual water throughout. Meanwhile, Spyderco is actually reducing costs on the military 2, their salt series which is actually made for the water throughout the design of the entire knife and at a fraction of the price while still being USA made for many of their salt models. Benchmade needs to go to therapy, not that there is anything wrong with that, they just need to.
