I know I'm a American & its hilarious how frustrating & angry people get at the royal family costing 40 million pounds or even 400 million pounds a year while I promise in the USA we spend more then that on our idiot leaders no matter their political party. And our president nor our idiot members of congress don't use small jets for cross country flights like g5 or cesna planes. They always have to fly jumbo style. Our idiots have dozens & the president again no matter which party has like 100 agents that arrive days ahead of him in order to do over kill & stupid things like literally change windows for hotel rooms from regular building window glass to bullet resistant glass & then switch them back after the idiot has left. Alzheimer joe had an 80 car motorcade through the narrow streets of italy. And people complain about the 6 cars & 2 or 4 bike officers for the king or prince of wales really. And remember traffic in London let alone any other part of United Kingdom may be bad but it's not new york or LA bad and add to that downtown NYC or LA an 20 to 80 car motorcade during rush hour or a friday afternoon. Especially for a single 1 visit press conference nonsense &/or fundraiser really? How do you think traffic is then.

Looked it up, Registered Date 01 September 2020, that might be the case, bought before he was king and taxed until 2024... Bet the tag disappears after that.

The King is using the Bentley Mulsanne, which belonged to the late Queen. It's used for informal engagements. The State cars with the coat of arms are standard are used for more formal official engagements.

You're right. It's not the Sovereign's car. It might belong to the royal family or an important dignitary. The King's car is supposed to be maroon and have the royal standard.

It also had number plates. The kings Bentley has a crown instead of a number plate, also the cars for the monarch for official occasions are usually maroon in colour. Maybe his regular is in for a service or something and they just gave him a loan car for the day 😊

Im pretty sure it’s the Kings private (or formerly private) car, have seen thus far with him and Camilla already two years ago approaching the airport (with exact the same registration)

It's not a new car. The Mulsanne isn't made anymore. This is a 2018 model first owned by the late Queen.

Princess Anne has her own Bentley Flying Spur. This is the late Queen's Mulsanne which is now only used by The King or The Queen.

It's not an official car. Only the state limousines are in claret and black and without number plates. This is one of the private cars that belonged to the late Queen.

@@melissareiger1387 Rolls Royce and Bentley are traditional British car brands. Rolls Royce however since around 2000 is owned by the German car manufacturer BMW and Bentley by Volkswagen. Bentley is still considered an English car, even if the engines and many other parts come from the shelves of the parent company Volkswagen. So buying a Bentley basically helps the British economy, but the parent company in Germany is also happy.

Actually the late Queen used this Bentley regularly for less high profile events. The state Rolls-Royce and Bentley cars are the only ones with no numberplate.

No, it’s the Mulsanne (not sure of specific variant). The Mulsanne is no longer produced, and the Flying Spur has taken over as the flagship ‘mass’ production Bentley. It’s still the one I’d go for though, a Mulsanne Speed.

@@ACarNerdUserHere yeah I think it was probably related to the V8 no longer meeting emissions. However they could’ve easily placed the V8 from the Conti into it? Different engine characteristics I guess. All to do with emissions nowadays 🙄
