Some of the preset designs online I really like! I'm bad at coming up with abstract patterns and I adore shapes that look like honey comb 🥰! Put one up and have bee decorations etc haha! Also have it as a art speaker for someone with an apiary 😂!

Hello John, Great Reviews! May I suggest that the shop invest in Binaural Microphones, as this would really help to “experience” the sound when you do reviews?

I bust my ass working every single day. Hauling incredibly expensive horse drawn carriages to people with more money than god. And I have an obsession with technology especially sleek clean modern looking and life-improving tech. I just discovered these yesterday and it’s KILLING ME knowing I will never be able to afford these…. Feelsbadman…. Brilliant work.. keep it up 🤘🏼 (If you ever need anything that requires custom transport in the USA feel free to contact me and just pay me in a few tiles 😅🙏🏼)

Surely if you put the wooden cover over the dampeners it will stop the dampening?? The stuff inside it is designed to absorb sound, the wood will reflect the sound??

I have thought that myself to be honest. I suppose it's still better than a clean flat wall as the foam inside still soaks up a finite amount of bass boom and the irregular shape of the tile will diffuse high frequencies instead of just reflecting them. Not as effective as the dampener with a cloth tile but a small amount of the wood tiles on a larger Shape probably wouldn't make much difference. Not that you would hear anyway. Good point though. John.

Great video as always. My question for you, would you rather buy/have the Beolab 18 or Beolab 20?

Personally I would go BeoLab 20, powerful, effortless sound. Although I prefer the imaging from BeoLab 18. A more fair comparison is BeoLab 18 + 19 Vs BeoLab 20. Then it becomes much harder to choose. I think I may be swayed to the 18s with a sub then. John.

Bang & Olufsen of Manchester Thanks for the reply John! That’s exactly what my B&O store told to me. I’m currently doubting selling my Beolab 8000 MK2 and buy the Beolab 18. What’s your opinion on that? Do you think there is much difference?

@@3Hagger3 BeoLab 8000 are still good, MK2 are even better. The amps and drivers in BeoLab 18 are significantly upgraded compared to 8000. Plus the acoustic lens on 18s works beautifully. I wouldn't be upset owning 8000 but 18's are a worthy upgrade. Best thing to do is have a listen at your store, it's most important that you think it's an upgrade. Your store might even let you try a pair at home for an accurate comparison. John.
