wow thanks for the NBD video Terry. I was thinking about a Cinelli Tutto Plus but I'm going to build a "budget" gravel bike starting with a Surly Straggler frame and Ritchey WCS Carbon Adventure fork......the parts that aren't budget is the King stuff.....headset, bottom bracket and hubs..... Just saw your stream answering NBD posts. Thanks for the tip on Paul Klampers. Those are now part of my build. I should've thanked you for the OuterShell frame bag. Great bag bro that I got last year......

Bought the ss version silver 650 b version in da summer , after 3 months converted to a geared version with sram nx 11 speed & bike feels amazing, went upright a bit with a rental lite handle bar 20 degree & ritchey stem & also added race face affect pedals & niner carbon seatpost & wtb pure saddle , I love the 650b ride & can handle anything from Chicago streets to gravel out in the burbs, very lucky to have bought at 1500 including tax cus now it at 1550 w/ o tax but I’d buy it again cus it’s a sweet bike , hope to see more videos of this outstanding bike , peace ☮️

AYE!!! just purchased a ghost stand. Didnt work with my mtb giant talon 2 bottom bracket too high. no worries I used it to get nice fall ride shots with my late 80's Centurion Pro Tour 15 touring vintage rig. Love Ghost bikes stand. I can see them implementing taller ones in the near future.

I got a 700X28C single speed disc brake cassette style bike very similar to that all city single speed. Weights 20 pounds without the kickstand. 42T chainring and 20T cog works as a unicorn gear ratio with no chain tensioners. Aluminum frame with mostly carbon fiber parts, titanium pedals, some chromoly parts. I think weight reduction is more important on a single speed than a geared bike since you only have one gear. I also ride a 17 pound track bike that is a blast to ride on my room displayed like a trophy.

Interested to hear if you have problems with the dropouts, I've had the same bike for over a year ridden daily and been plagued by slipping dropouts. If you convert to geared buy a few of the drive side units, they are very fragile and seem to sell out quickly.

Very nice looking good, Dustin’s bike he got from them is cool. But I tend to just ride single speed / fixed. Cool that you have the option of adding gears if you were inclined. I feel you on getting tired of riding a bike that’s too small after awhile. Since I’m not very picky I’ve done it before for whatever reason at a given time. But being 6’3” myself it has had it’s annoyances depending on the situation ( especially after the two accidents I was in. In 2011 & 2012. getting hit by a van and then flipping my bars). Looks like a nice and fun bike though. Been wanting to try out a All city for a few years.

Sweet ride. I think it needs some wider bars though. You're not really riding until you're in full pterodactyl posish. Grey on the tires and grips with that frame would be classy AF.

interesting frame! looking forward to seeing how you continue to dial it in if it was my build, i'd try some silver components - seatpost, stem, rims, maybe bars. that or put on black cranks. think the cranks are currently the only silver component? or could maybe throw some white in there - white saddle, white skinwall tires maybe, maybe white bar tape, or some black&white quietly patterned bar tape

Honestly Terry- it looks so sick. The frame color is just gorgeous. I'm curious if the rear brake caliper post mounts are in a fixed position on the frame? Or put another way, what happens if you slide the rear wheel further backwards to gain more chain tension? Wouldn't the caliper grab less of the rotor? Or is there a way to correct for that?
@thdrknarf1751
@thdrknarf1751 2 жыл бұрын
most sliding dropout designs have the brake mounts separate from the frame, on the piece that slides, so the calipers are in a fixed position relative to the axle at any dropout position
@MisterSal9895
@MisterSal9895 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I have this issue with my disc brake single speed. You basically have to add or remove the disc brake caliper spacers as you move the wheel on the dropouts to get the best position for you. You may need to buy a longer disc brake caliper bolt and extra spacers.
@hellaforniafinn8117
@hellaforniafinn8117 2 жыл бұрын
The sliding dropouts are on both sides. The caliper is mounted to the dropout so it moves with the wheel.

hi Terry! have been looking to pull the trigger on this bike. just curious, 1 year on, how has this bike been for you and have you faced any of the well documented problems? especially with the master dropout and the chain tension screw that has seemingly caused so many issues for the owners of this bike?
