Күн бұрынAfter a bit of a wait I finally recieved word that my new Santa Cruz 5010 had arrived... And with a bit of luck, also recieved word that I would be able to do an Unboxing and Build video of my new bike at Radhaus Kastner. A shop that I have had a long standing relationship with. And also a BIG thanx for the chaps for letting me do this... And sticking around while I faffed in the workshop with all my gear! LEGENDS to the last man!
So... One fine Saturday afternoon... Just as the shop - Radhaus Kastner -was closing for the day... I rolled in. Set up... And got to work on the job of getting this little machine put together. And what a class bit of kit it is!

Yeah... Sanrta Cruz isn't a direct to consumer brand... So that is how it's shipped to the bike shops. I was just lucky mine let me do this vid - and build up my own bike. :D

For Sure mate... I haven*'t had a chance to get that much saddle time in yet... But sp far the thing is GREAT! It does such a good job of hiding the fact that it has short legs... It's so deceptive!

@@TrailTales Sounds great mate. It's similar with my Rocky: feels his legs are significantly longer than 130/120mm ^_^ I wish us all more saddle time soon and, above all, dry trails.

Yeah man! The colour in real life is WAY BETTER than the pictures on the site... So really stoked about that. I've only managed to get it out for one "little" shake down ride... But hot dam! It's NOICE!

Yeah man! It's a pity this model didn't come in their yellow colour... But it's also not like this colour is ugly... Now just to wait for the never ending rain to eventually move itself along so the season can really get going! :D

New bike day is always cool. I'm sure you won't be disappointed with your choice of Santa Cruz. I've put mine through the ringer over the last 4 years and it0's still going strong with zero major issues 👍

Yeah man... And the lifetime warrentee is also a nice thing to have... especially when you are as prone to doing dumb shit as I am... Deffo looking forward to ripping some BP laps with you blokes now!!! :D

Congrats on the new whip!!! I think the 5010 is the perfect bike for how and where you like to ride Phil. Why are high-end mountain bikes still coming with dork discs, lol. Looking forward to seeing what new adventures you go on with this bike.

For sure Sage... I have been (so far) really impressed with how well it "hides" it's size... It deffo does not feel like a 140mm/130mm travel bike. A bit more saddle time will flesh that out though. And as usual man... Thanx for watching and the support... I appreciate it loads!

Yeah man... It's a thing of beauty! I still have the Spesh and the HT... I have some stuff filmed up with the HT that I haven't had a chance to finish yet... I'll get onto it this week and pop it out next weekend. The enduro needs a lot of love though. It had a rough winter.

How tall are you and which size did you get?

183cm... And I bought a Large... I didn't want an overly "big" bike... My enduro was a medium. And my Shan is a large... So my choices on sizes is random at best. But this one fits nice... Very happy with the way the size fits me...

Thx for the reply. I’m 180cm and have a L Bronson but I want to size down 🤷♂️ to the M 5010, to get my RAD numbers dialed.

Ha!!! Yessir. I have done every mod possible to shorten it, which made it better. Thx for sharing keep it up 💪🏻
