New blow off valve adjustable Subaru, outback, XT turbo

Got a new blow off valve on eBay for $68. Pretty good deal since it fixed by boost leak on acceleration from the factory blow off valve.

Thanks for posting these videos, there isn't much on youtube for these cars. I agree, these subaru engines have some cheap parts.

this is installed wrong.. it's supposed to be the other way the silver port is your recirculation and is supposed to go back to the hole on your turbo inlet and the adjustment is the ratio of blow off to recirculation

What do you do with the bigger hose that was connected to the old blowoff valve? Do you need to plug the hole or hose?

Yes plugging it or what I did was eliminate it from the turbo inlet. My turbo inlet was torn right where the clamp tightens it. I had removed intake manifold and built a new inlet pipe eliminating the blowoff valve tube. Its on my 05 Subaru playlist

Is that playlist gone? I don’t see it. I’m having a bad idle issue similar to what you had in another video but mine only does it when the a/c is on and I decelerate to a stop.
