You can tell quality can't you! Is the infotainment screen angled so as it's leaning back towards the windscreen? I bet you really enjoyed cruising round the block in that great car 🌃👍

I really did, one of my favorite cars on the test, reminds me a lot of my Mini, they even share the same engine. And yes the screen is leaning towards the driver 😀

@@windycity1828 haha not (yet) as I think MINI is cooler, but 1 Series (a stronger one) would be a good choice for future car in few years :D

Definitely a car to get in automatic now. The manual gearbox has become mushy/soft feeling in this gen 1 series. Gearstick can literally be pushed forward while already in gear it’s just loose!

now in 2024 the thing should be turned around. Automatic should be the mainstream common option among all cars, and some cars should offer a separate manual version for the car enthusiasts. automatics exist since 2 decades (or more) there is absolutely no reason why it is still presented as a huge innovation and charged for a huge price

They take away the 3.0liter Inline 6 Bi-Turbo, the proper RWD, the wishbone suspension, and instead sell you a couple of LCDs more and ambient lighting gizmos and still call this a BMW...

Meh. I don't like the 1 series at all. It's a great drive dont get me wrong but it's one of those cars that just screams ''help Im a poor edgy boy that drives a BMW badge because I need the attention, PLEASE look at me''. Nobody's ever gonna drive this car because it's a great car. You're either driving this because youre poor or youre an edgy kid who likes to boast about owning a BMW that in all honesty sucks regardless.

this car is not cheap at all. it is above the price of any midrange car you can think of. plus idk where you live, but in my area someone who is "poor" drives a 15 year old vehicle or takes the bus. in addition this car is way better equipped than the mercedes A series
