Hello Dan! I bought an ix1 with this configuration and chose the mineral white color based on this video because I've never seen one live in mineral white. Today I saw one in pure frozen gray and I loved it... I know you've also tested one in this color, which one do you prefer to see live in frozen gray or mineral white? Thank you for your help.

I am just hesitating about the needed power of the engines : would go for the economical (3 cylinder) sDrive 20i (150 hp) but wonder if it really has sufficient power for "normal" (family) driving (in Belgium there are no mountains, just hills). Or should I rather go for the more powerful (4 cylinder) xDrive 23i (218 hp) ? Thanks in advance.

You also reviewed the BMW 2 series AT ..which in your opinion has the more comfortable and quietest drive..the X1 or 2 series AT ? I prefer soft suspension and comfort to a sporty drive.

I agree,that rear windshield wiper has to be moved to the top under the spoiler,is going to look more clean the design.

32:55 i dont like that solution, i would prefer normal deep armrest storage.... there is a lot of space, but what are you gonna put there if there are those small, not very tall side edges.... a carton of milk...? also i bet taking something from there would be really awkward when you sit in a seat... design wise a nice upgrade. thankfully not very much of gloss black inside. iwould miss a normal proper HVAC panel...space is there for it... 🙁

This is the best video of new X1 review. Good job!

I saw this in person - it had arrived new to the dealership and still had the interior wrapping etc. My only concern is that for an average US men's height (5'10 or 5'11), getting in and out of the rear doors seems to be a little more challenging than I would have liked. I sat in the back seat and it seems kind of constrained/cramped for me. For some reason the Toyota rav4 seems to be easier to get in and out of the rear seats and the leg room seemed to be greater. I will have to take the X1 on a test drive and try getting in, sitting and getting out of the rear seats again to confirm. The x1s arriving on US dealer lots can easily hit $50k with taxes, fees etc. out the door. The dealer markups for Rav4 hybrids is generally going lower or being phased out. So the Rav4 hybrid is starting to appear more attractive as a buy. Tough choice between the two. Had BMW extended the length of the X1 even by a couple of more inches that would have been excellent.

Not a fan of the floating center console & chintzy chrome interior door handles, but for an entry level SUV/CUV, the X1 looks marvelous.

I've seen some video reviews where there is no front seat isofix. Is it just the M-Sport only have this feature?

Small remark, maybe you should be a little more realistic about the space. You are 1.73m, add 10cm for average height for men, then you're with your head against the ceiling in the back. The seats are also way to the front, so it looks like you have extreme leg space in the back. Besides that, nice review.
