Most of 1st-time mums overbuy because they probably have a lot of money. Excess money is the reason why most 1st-time mum tends to over-buy.

For the breast pump probably the flang is not your Size. I learnt they have sizes. Mine is not painful unless I put it on the highest and am using the baby cream I bought. I have not even opened the shea butter I bought. I didn't buy other things you mentioned as a first time mum

My baby is sleeping in his cot o. He sleeps for hours sef. I have never used the one they placed on an adult bed because I was gifted

I enjoyed the pacifier both of my kids enjoyed it 😊

There were lots of things I used for my first that I didn’t use for my second such as sterilised. But thanks for sharing your list. I think everyone’s taste or experience differs. With their kids. 😊 it’s trial and error with the first coz it showed me what i didn’t need for the next.

Buying things that one will end up not using is common in new or first time mom's. Just like you said, I could remember buying excess baby clothes some of which my daughter never wore till she grow passed them. And also some baby oil that I never used on her because of the weather condition when I gave birth. Imagine buying baby car seater that you ended up not using . That baby cot is something i will also advice first mum to be careful with when buying their baby stuff. It is better to buy a cheap one incase one ended up not using it .
