Come join us for our New Brunswick Travel Guide as we visit this beautiful province in maritimes of Canada visiting Fredericton, Saint Andrews, Fundy National Park and the Hopewell Rocks.
We kick things off in Fredericton, where my parents live, playing tourist by visiting the historic downtown centre, city hall, pedway, lighthouse, Odell park and legislative building as well as walking along Waterloo Row to see some historic mansions and the Fredericton Railway Bridge (pedestrian walking bridge) to grab lunch and beers at Picaroons Roundhouse.
From Fredericton we continued our road trip by heading south to visit Saint Andrews. Beautifully situated along the coast this is one of the most scenic towns in New Brunswick and great place to go boating and/or whale watching. Although we just visited briefly we really enjoyed our fish and chips and assorted seafood platter lunch and walk along the beach.
We continued onward to Fundy National Park where we set up base in a beautiful cabin located in Cape Enrage nearby Alma. From here we did several days worth of exploring Fundy National Park visiting lakes, hiking trails, beaches, rivers and more. Togo especially loved the opportunity to splash around as much as he could.
Our final stop visiting New Brunswick was at Hopewell Rocks - the most iconic attraction in the province. Having a chance to visit with beautiful weather and before the crowds descended was the perfect ending to our time in New Brunswick. If you're looking for an underrated Province to visit in Canada look no further than New Brunswick. This province has so much to offer and is well off the typical tourist radar.

New Brunswick Travel Guide (Canada) | Visiting Fredericton, Saint Andrews, Fundy National Park & Hopewell Rocks:
Today we’re going to be taking you on our family road trip across New Brunswick! After two days driving across Ontario and Quebec, we finally arrived at our destination: Fredericton, the capital of New Brunswick. We show you Fredericton highlights, and then we’ll be touring the charming seaside town of St Andrews, hiking in Fundy National Park, and marvelling at the Hopewell Rocks on the Bay of Fundy, which is home to the highest tides in the whole world. We hope you’ll enjoy our tour of the province and now let’s go explore New Brunswick.
We took a break after all that food and drink, and later in the afternoon we drove to Odell Park so that Togo could enjoy a walk in the woods.
We showed my parents a few of the city landmarks stopping at Town Hall, the lighthouse, and the Legislative Building, and then it was time to hop in the car and start this road trip!
Our next destination was St Andrews, about a 2 hour drive away. This is a very picturesque seaside town where you can do whale-watching excursions, boat tours, and enjoy delicious seafood.
Because it was such a hot day, we also made time to find a beach so that Togo could splash around.
Then, it was time to hop back in the car and drive to our next destination: Cape Enrage where we had rented a cottage for the next 2 nights. It was about a 3 hour drive to get there with a few stops for the dog along the way. We had to cross all of Fundy National Park.
The following morning, we got an early start and made our way to Fundy National Park for some hiking. After a few days of driving, Togo was thrilled to be out in the woods leading his pack down the trails.
After a little snack on the picnic tables, we got back in the car and drove towards Herring Cove to give Togo a chance to play in the water. Alma is a small town located just outside the park, so they picked up some fish and chips with coastal views.
That afternoon, we continued exploring the rest of Fundy National Park and visited two different lakes. The fog was starting to roll in as we drove back to the cottage that afternoon, and shortly after, it started to rain. We were lucky enough to have a special visitor: this deer!
The next day was another early start because it was our last day in the province and we couldn’t miss the Hopewell Rocks!

Your visit to Fredricton NB. brought back memories of my childhood. I lived on Waterloo Row at the home of a professor on sebattical. My parents were Scholarship students from Jamaica. We met two black communities in Fredricton. Both descendants of Black Loyalists. These communities existed where the pavement ends. They were given names like N...hill or N...bridge. That bridge you walked across took you to one community. The other was where those colonial homes ended, following the railroad tracks and up a hill. Other communities are scattered around the city of St Johns. Your dad would not have seen not one grave of a Black Loyalists in the cemetery he visited. And today those communities are given political correct names or a plaque since they no longer exist. Since you guys are travel vloggers, I thought I would bring it to your attention.

I really enjoyed watching this magnificent scenery filled video! Canada is a very beautiful place. I am so glad you have taken this trip & equally very happy that you are sharing it. I just loved the beautiful architecture in those magnificent mansions in the beginning of this video. All of the beautiful forests and trails along with all the very scenic little towns you passed through made this so enjoyable! There is just so much to see and take in I am going to need to wstch it again. I just love watching your dads & Audrey's dad adding in the historical facts about the loyalist and old British barracks was very intersting. as well. Thank you so much for doing this trip and sharing it with us. Take care and as always safe travels.

Hi Sam and Audrey! My family has a house in Northern Maine, bordering New Brunswick, and I am looooving all of the New Brunswick and Nova Scotia content! Thank you for helping me plan a road trip :) Also, I'm not sure if you guys have checked out Portsmouth, New Hampshire but it is an adorable, colonial-looking town with an amazing foodie scene, just an hour north of Boston!

I like the video, fish and chips are delicious 😀 I like blue cod the best in south Island NZ, but in north Island has different varieties of fish so its different up there for fish used. Its winter in NZ wish it was warmer 32 degrees is hot 😀

The seafood, scallops looked good. I like battered green lipped mussels and bluff oysters here in NZ at the fish and chips shop. Canada lobsters looks nice, we have rock lobster or crayfish here it is expensive but are also nice to eat.

I was curious how Cape Enragé got its name. It turns out that there is a reef there and the waters become extremely violent at half tide when the reef is just visible coming up from (or going back to) the water. Interesting. As you were there a couple of days and saw the tide going out and coming in, did you notice the reef? I would have liked to see it, and so am adding this to my trip to Nova Scotia. Great video! I would have given a great deal to take trips like this with my parents. Though I took my father to Alaska, I would have loved to take my mother to Europe. To Spain and France and Greece, especially. . She was a very gracious and graceful woman who left people with strong positive thoughts of her. She spoke several languages, including French and Spanish and Latin. We knew a holiday or birthday was coming, or that a husband was misbehaving when the sisters reverted to another language. They spoke several languages in one conversation and would start a sentence in Spanish and finish it in French. She would have LOVED Europe and deserved every trip I could give her. The point is that it is good to see how much you two enjoy your folks and I wanted to give you two big thumbs up and to tell you to enjoy it while you can. It is such precious time. Thanks for taking us along!

Thank you very much Rebecca! We so enjoy these family trips and it has been even better having both sides of the family join and get along so well. Where will you be visiting in Nova Scotia? Wow, Alaska is definitely on our bucket-list. My Dad drove there one summer by himself and had a great trip. Where would you recommend going?
@maobfh
@maobfh 4 жыл бұрын
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos - we planned to go to Nova Scotia this year but we bumped it out to next year. Husband has very advanced MS and our travel plans revolve around his therapists and what he is working on. He had a set back early this year and we opted to continue with aggressive therapy to get him to the place where he can enjoy it. So next year. I enjoy spring and fall but am guessing that mosquitoes can get pretty big there so exploring best times. I think a day in Anchorage is enough but a couple of days in Juneau and surrounding is worth it. The Kenai Peninsula is very quaint but beautiful. If you want to see and visit with the people of the area, you will have to go further north after Kenai. I did not have time to go further as I was teaching at the hospital but Dad wondered up into the mountains, which he said was beautiful and our baseline is deep in the Rockies of Colorado and New Mexico. You want to go up into the Denali. For your videos, Juneau, the Denali and the Kenai and maybe a Salmon Bake In or around Anchorage for the viewers. Alaska isn’t as drivable so how you find flights and boats and ferry rides. The one thing I picked up there and continue is that every kitchen needs an ULU.
